Pulong: Flood-control should not be used as props; check Dalipe’s projects

“If the government and independent agencies are truly serious about cleaning up flood-control projects, then they should stop using investigations as PROPS for publicity. Since you are already in Mindanao, why not check the projects of Cong. Dalipe, which I’m sure are as polished and refined as his ever-growing belly.” ~Davao City Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte

The eldest son of former President Rodrigo Duterte went on to say that investigations appear to be selective and prejudiced, reportedly concentrating only on Davao City, despite the city's cleanliness and lack of ghost projects, in contrast to other areas where anomalies have been noticed.

Additionally, he criticized government agencies like the Ombudsman, questioning why they appear excited just in Davao City then suddenly claim to lack the funds for hotel and transportation elsewhere.

Manuel Jose "Mannix" Dalipe, the former House Majority Leader and Zamboanga City representative, was the target of this. He lost the most recent elections, most likely as a result of Zamboangueños' disapproval of him after he was accused of developing poor and phantom flood control projects, among other projects.

Internet users in Zamboanga also want the Independent Commission of Investigation (ICI) to investigate their former lawmaker and perform a "lifestyle check" on him, examining his extravagant lifestyle and assets worth millions of dollars.  Dalipe was also referred to as "CongTractor" by some online users.
