"We wanted to recreate the feeling of a Filipino fiesta at Christmas-where togetherness, joyful exchange, and celebration of who we are as a people are at the center." ~Anya Lim, Co-Founder of ANTHILL
In the Philippines, Christmas starts early, and this year at Power Plant Mall, the importance of community is highlighted. Extended through October, Pasko at Nayon Natin, a lively bayanihan pop-up organized by ANTHILL Fabric Gallery, invites everyone to enter a Christmas town where the festivity begins. Brought to life via creativity, color, and teamwork.
Nayon Natin: A Bayanihan Pop-Up, which was conceived as a living narrative and a two-month immersive marketplace full of lively, community-centered enterprises, was launched last August in time for Buwan ng Wika.
This Pasko at Nayon Natin edition, which is currently taking place through the Christmas season, is a feast not to be missed: it features seasonal collections, fresh, surprising partnerships, and communally anchored experiences.
"Textiles are our language here, from woven threads to wearable statements of identity. Through Pasko at Nayon Natin, we celebrate community as our greatest gift. This edition of Pasko at Nayon Natin is special because of a collaboration we're having with ANTHILL. it's literally bayanihan in the form of fashion, as we created shoes made from fabrics-honoring two different communities, one from Marikina and another from Cebu." ~Larica, Co-Founder of Andanté Footwear
Similar-minded Filipino companies like Tropik Beatnik, renowned for their daring and Exquisite handmade jewelry; Studio Sursidan, which sells a variety of textile products and heartfelt home accents; and Andante, which produces traditional leather shoes manufactured by Filipino craftspeople.
Collectively, they represent the essence of Nayon Natin: tradition updated for modern living.
Pasko at Nayon Natin is more than simply a pop-up; it's an invitation to come together, give, and develop as a community. Every purchase helps sustain Filipino communities and artisan livelihoods in this lively area where shopping turns into storytelling.
Nayon Natin: ANTHILL Bayanihan POP UP runs until October 31 at the R2 Level, Powerplant Mall, Rockwell, Makati.
