Rainbow Radyo: 1st and only Radio program for the LGBTQIA+ Community launched

“I would like to thank Radyo Pilipinas and Radyo Magasin for the entrusting me this groundbreaking radio program. And of course to my amazing team behind Rainbow Radyo for the love and support. I am honored and humbled to host the 1st ever radio program for the LGBTQIA+ community. Super long overdue, I believe but never too late to start creating beautiful ripples of change. Hopefully, through this radio program, everyone, regardless of gender, will feel seen, heard, felt and celebrated. Dahil sa Rainbow Radyo, belong ka dito.” ~Myke Celis, a Multi-awarded Life Coach, Bestselling Author, and Proud LGBTQIA+ Advocate

It was June of 2024 when I first met Myke during the CIMB Media Presentation, wherein he was proudly representing the LGBTQIA+ community.

From then on I was blessed to get to know him better through his activities and programs. Just like the Radyo Magasin 1278 AM, the general information station of the Presidential Broadcast Service's Bureau of Broadcast Services (PBS-BBS), just launched a groundbreaking radio program for the LGBTQIA+ community and its supporters.

The pilot episode of Rainbow Radyo, the first and only LGBTQIA+ radio show, broadcast on October 11, 2025.  This one-hour program, which airs every Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. on your AM Band at Radyo Magasin 1278 Khz, with livestreams on Facebook, You Tube, and the PBS receiver, emphasizes inclusivity and diversity while shedding new light on issues and trends that are pertinent to the LGBTQIA+ community. Its tagline, "Belong Ka Dito," emphasizes this.

Myke Celis, a multi-awarded life coach and best-selling author who is also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, hosts Rainbow Radyo.  Prior to being a solo anchor of his own show, Coach Myke was a well-known media personality as a sought-after subject matter expert and segment host for radio and television shows.

Present during the contract signing was PBS-BBS Director IV Fernando Amparo-Sunga and Radio Magasin Station Manager Marinela Tecson

In its debut episode, Rainbow Radyo discussed the challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals coming out of the closet, the value of having a strong support network, and the importance of acceptance and respect so that everyone may be themselves.  Then, award-winning content creator M.A. Buendia and Dra. Camille Garcia were the  guests onboard during the launch episode.
