Acer and SB19 celebrate their fifth year of partnership with notable accomplishments

SB19 was invited to Acer’s Taipei headquarters as “one-day employees” prior to their “Simula at Wakas” world tour stop. In addition to being honored guests, the “Kings of P-pop” met Acer Chairman and CEO Jason Chen and Pan-Asia Pacific President Andrew Hou, who presented each member—Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin—with a Predator Helios 18 gaming laptop as a thank you for their five-year partnership.

SB19 went to Acer's product experience center to test out the company's newest gaming laptops and the FreeSense Ring smart wearable, which was created by Acer Fashion.  Additionally, the group took part in a design workshop where they generated concepts for small household appliances and laptop aesthetics.

Acer was also the co-presenter for SB19’s “Simula at Wakas” world tour stop in Taipei.




According to market research firm GfK, Acer held the top spot in the Philippine personal computer market in Q1 2025 with a 35.7% overall market share, a 34.2% share in consumer notebooks, and an astounding 40.6% share in gaming laptops.

Information, discussion, and guidance: FEU Public Policy Center collaborates with female leaders to create a more inclusive future

What does it take to shape a future where leadership is equitable, inclusive, and sustainable in our social and institutional systems?

That was the main topic of discussion at the Nextgen Organization of Women Corporate Directors' (NOWCD) June 23 session, “Breaking Barriers: Women Leading in Business and Beyond,” held at the BPI Wealth Lounge in Makati City.  Leaders from academia, business, and government came together to discuss the advancements in women's leadership and the structural adjustments required to sustain them.






The Far Eastern University (FEU) Public Policy Center was at the forefront of the discussion, and their involvement confirmed the university's longstanding dedication to scholarship, inclusivity, and leadership that is ready for the future.

Mariana Zobel de Ayala of Ayala Land, Robina Gokongwei-Pe of Robinsons Retail, Col. Francel Margareth Padilla of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and Dr. Jean Franco, a political science professor at UP Diliman, participated in a lively panel discussion moderated by Julia Andrea Abad, Executive Director of the FEU Public Policy Center. Collectively, they investigated the lived experiences of women in leadership positions, the function of mentoring, and the ways in which organizations might change to promote more diversity at the top.








The research presentation given by Patricia Thea Basilio, a Data Analyst at the FEU Public Policy Center, was a pivotal moment in the debate.  Basilio presented results on gender perceptions among Filipino college students based on their 2024 College Experience Survey.  According to the study, sexist beliefs are still common among young people, particularly men, and are frequently associated with a greater desire for leadership positions.  These bring up significant issues about the leadership landscape of the nation in the future.

Gianna Montinola, Consultant for External Affairs, introduced keynote speaker Mariana Zobel de Ayala on behalf of FEU's senior leadership.  Montinola's participation demonstrated FEU's wider institutional support for inclusion, equity, and diversity in many fields.

As the only academic research voice present, FEU offered a distinct viewpoint that combined real-world suggestions with empirical observations to foster inclusive leadership in a changing global environment.  A plea to keep creating networks that help women not only achieve leadership positions but also thrive in them was made as the event came to an end.

As for the institution, the effort goes on: producing meaningful data, encouraging discussions that question conventions, and equipping students to lead with competence and ideals.

Syd Hartha, who came after him, used songs like "Damdamin" and "Tila-tala" to create a more reflective atmosphere with his deep alt-R&B style.  The first fashion section, which mirrored her easygoing, expressive attitude, was matched with her performance. Barbie Almalbis sang well-known OPM hits like "Overdrive" and "When I Met You" later in the show.  Her performance set the mood for an alt-pop rock-inspired fashion segment from the early 2000s that featured vintage styles, vibrant prints, and throwback denim.  It served as a reminder of the intergenerational complementarity of music and style.

The fashion show collection ended with a funk, groove-filled display of bold, expressive looks by renowned stylist Thian Rodriguez. In order to promote tourism and economic development in the Eastern Visayas Region, AirAsia Philippines and the Provincial Government of Leyte reaffirmed their long-standing commitment to democratizing air travel and guaranteeing connectivity. 

As part of the airline's continued cooperation with stakeholders, Leyte Gov. Jericho Petilla, Leyte Tourism Consultant Frances Ann Petilla, and other officials extended a warm welcome to AirAsia in the Provincial Capitol together with the media.

Fisher Mall Quezon Avenue enthusiastically participated in the Pride Month celebration for the first time with "Pride Without Borders," a one-day event organized in collaboration with the Quezon City Government, as a significant demonstration of its dedication to expand beyond retail.





This historic occasion turned the shopping center into a lively venue for empowerment, awareness, and expression.  Renowned drag performers Amazing Chalita, Venus, Winter Sheason Nicole, Shewarmaa, and Tomboy Philippines enthralled the audience with their captivating performances, illuminating the stage with their charisma and vibrant colors.  A Pride Walk, Lip Sync Charades, and the humorous but touching Love Puksaan Game were among the interactive events that added to the excitement and inspired mall patrons to engage in happy, community-focused activities.

In partnership with the Quezon City Health Department, Fisher Mall further enhanced its celebration with a purpose-driven project by providing free HIV testing and health discussions during the event.  Given the rising number of instances nationwide, this proactive service allowed visitors to participate in life-saving healthcare and education in a secure, stigma-free environment, solidifying Fisher Mall's reputation as a location that values people as much as experiences.

Pride Without Borders showcased LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs in addition to performances and advocacy. The Quezon City Small Business and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office (QC SBCDPO) supported a pop-up marketplace where small business owners sold Pride-themed merchandise.  Mall patrons were able to buy with pride and support companies that embody resilience, diversity, and creativity thanks to this campaign.
