HBO Original Harry Potter Television Series Begins Production New Cast and Department Heads

Warner Bros. has begun production on the HBO Original Harry Potter television series.  The show will premiere in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max, where it is accessible, including in Germany, Italy, and the UK, according to Leavesden Studios.

 

Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander, and Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom are among the recently revealed cast members.

Newly announced department heads include Adriano Goldman (Director of Photography), Cate Hall (Hair and Makeup Designer), Paul Herbert (Stunt Coordinator), Mark Holt (SFX Supervisor), Mara LePere-Schloop (Production Designer), Naomi Moore (Set Decorator), John Nolan (Creature Effects Design Supervisor), Alexis Wajsbrot (VFX Supervisor), Dom Sidoli (VFX Producer), and previously announced Holly Waddington (Costume Designer). 

The upcoming series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner. Mark Mylod will executive produce and direct multiple episodes of the series for HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television. The series is executive produced by J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, and Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films.

Francesca Gardiner is the executive producer and writer of the upcoming series.  In collaboration with Warner Bros. and Brontë Film and TV, Mark Mylod will executive produce and direct a number of the series' episodes for HBO.  TV.  J.K. is the executive producer of the series.  Rowling, Heyday Films' David Heyman, and Brontë Film and TV's Ruth Kenley-Letts and Neil Blair.
