SONA 2016 Pangako ng Pagbabago A Light Network Coverage

Our 16th PRESIDENT RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE of the Republic of the Philippines just recently talk on his first State of the Nation Address (SONA). He made Filipinos proud of him a formal and trademark of sense of humor on his first state of the nation address that has been held at the Batasang pambansa Complex last July 25, 2016.

Even though at first he sound so formal and serious, he still manage to have a bit of sense of humor during his speech, which is I believe natural to him.
One of the main center of President Rodrigo Duterte's speech is his advocacy to fight criminality in our country, most specially anything that has to do with drugs and what made me also be proud of him is that he also assures that one of his administrations priority is to increase the lives of the Filipino people.

His speech if i may not be mistaken lasted for about 1 hour and 40 minutes which i think is the longest speech ever a president of the Philippines for SONA.
I am grateful and had the privilege of being part for the live coverage of PDU30's first SONA with:
Former Senator Rene Saguisag
Former Chairperson Cong. Etta Rosales
Lawyer and Ordained Pastor Atty Jeremiah Belgica
and
College of Law University of the East Dean
Atty. Amado Valdez

Good Job to the hosts Ms. Claire Delfin and to Mari B Kaimo and I am thankful and humbled to LIGHT NETWORK for having me, visit their Facebook Page at Light Network Facebook Page for having me during the entire show for the coverage of SONA 2016.

Here are the topics discussed during the show:

"Let me make this appeal to you: "If we cannot, as yet, LOVE ONE ANOTHER, then in God's name, let us not hate each other too much," so it was said. I say the same to you today. We will strive to have a permanent and lasting peace before my term ends. That is my goal, that is my dream."
"Lest I be misunderstood, let me say clearly, that those who betrayed the People's trust shall not go unpunished and they will have their day in court. And if the evidence warrants, they will have their day of reckoning too."
"I was determined then As I am determined and better positioned, to wag war against those who make a mockery of our laws including those who make life for us all miserable. I wish to assure everyone though that vindictiveness is not in my system. Just like you and I, all, equal treatment and equal protection are what I ask for people."
"To all our police officers and officials, do your job. You'll have the unwavering support of the office of the President. I will be with you all the way. Abuse your authority and there will be hell to pay. For you will have become worse than criminality itself."
"During my inauguration last June 30, 2016, I said that the fight against criminality and illegal drugs and corruption will be relentless and sustained. I reiterate that commitment today. And that is why I call on the Philippine National Police, The Barangay Chairmen, The Mayors, and Governors and all those occupying seats of power and authority, not to lower their guard."
"To our Muslim brothers, the Moro country, and the members of the CPP-NPA-NDF (Communist party of the Philippines-New People's Army-National Democratic Front), let me say this. All of us want Peace, not the Peace of the dead, but the peace of the living. We express our willingness and readiness to go to the negotiating table, and yet we load our guns, fix our sights, pull the trigger. It is both ironic and tragic, and it is endless. While we extol the bravery and heroism of our soldiers - Kayo the rebels - Do the same for the members and fighters."
"What I see instead are the widow and the orphans. And I feel their pain and grief. And no amount of cash assistance or the number of medals can compensate the loss of a human life. Sorrow cuts across every stratum of society. It cuts deeply and the pain lasts forever."
"To immediately stop violence on the ground, restore peace in the communities and provide enabling environment conductive to the resumption of the peace talks, I am now announcing a unilateral ceasefire with the CCP/NPA/NDF (Communist Party of the Philippines/New People's Army/National Democratic Front) effective immediately. And call on our Filipinos in the National Democratic Front and its forces to respond accordingly.

Let me make this apeal to you: IF WE CANNOT, AS YET, LOVE ONE ANOTHER, THEN IN GOD'S NAME, LET US OT HATE EACH OTHER TOO MUCH, so it was said. I say the same to you today.

We will strive to have a permanent and lasting peace before my term ends. That is my goal, that is my dream.

"I assure you, this will be a clean government. If that is the only worry that you have and  I can  understand your misgiving. You know, ako makagarnatiya, 101 percent it will be clean. The problem is I can only act through agencies and departments... I cannot guarantee their honesty and competence at all times. Cabinet members, Yes. Pero yung sa baba - yung procurement, yung magbi bidding diyan. But as far as I can really... malinis talaga 'to."

Is Change really and if YES are we prepared for it? Change will always start within us because we are CHANGE itself not by any governance that can rule us but it should always start within us.

So far criminality and drugs is being prioritize I just hope next in line would have to do with being employed and benefits as well as for education and heath matters.

I know and I strongly believe our President Rodrigo Duterte can manage to make a change it may not change everything ungood but i know he can make a big difference for our country. Let us trust his ability and capability. half of my blood is a bisaya one and i am proud that bisaya ang namumuno ngayon sa pinakamataas na posisyon.....

Mabuhay ang Pilipino sa isip sa salita at sa gawa!
