Aquaculture Philippines and Livestock Philippines 2026 Encourages Sustainable Practices for Industry Progress and Bridges Modernization

Concurrent with Aquaculture Philippines, the World Trade Center will conduct Livestock Philippines, a top global B2B trade show for livestock and poultry, on June 24–26, 2026. The event is anticipated to draw over 11,000 attendees from all facets of the livestock and aquaculture industries, together with about 300 local and international exhibitors ready to showcase innovative business solutions and technologies.

This year's theme, "Modern Farming Practices, Bountiful Harvests: The Future of Livestock and Aquaculture," places a strong emphasis on the necessity of modernizing and implementing sustainable, effective, and progressive farming and aquaculture methods and practices in order to guarantee food security, economic expansion, stable livelihoods, and environmental resilience. The host government organization is the Department of Agriculture. The primary focus is how important the events are as a hub for collaboration, education, and innovation that will progress the aquaculture and cattle industries.

The Philippines' agricultural industry, which is one of the key drivers of the nation's economic growth, benefits greatly from the cattle, poultry, and aquaculture sectors. These industries are essential to rural life, the food supply chain, and overall economic prosperity. Meat consumption continues to rise due to the growing population and growing market demand for meat products.

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the cattle and poultry industries accounted for 33.4% of all agricultural production in 2025, while aquaculture has risen rapidly and contributed significantly to the economy. Exciting options to look into include the Philippines' position as a major producer of seaweed and its potential for exporting seafood, poultry, and processed meat products.

However, the livestock and aquaculture industries need to overcome some pressing challenges to ensure sustained growth. Climate change and environmental risks like rising temperatures, water pollution, and erratic weather are disrupting agricultural productivity. Biosecurity and disease control are essential in combating disease outbreaks that threaten livestock and poultry productivity, such as African Swine Fever (ASF) and Avian Influenza (AI). Animal health continues to be a big concern. The rising costs of necessities like fuel, feed, feed ingredients, tools, and equipment are also significantly straining profit margins.

These financial strains may lead to long-term barriers to infrastructure development and market access, making the industry's path to sustainable growth even more challenging.

The activities highlight shared interests in sustainable farming practices, water management systems, aquaculture technologies, and energy-efficient agricultural equipment. By bringing together various companies, the events provide exhibitors and guests more value, creating opportunities to attract potential customers and form partnerships across many industries.

The events will feature technical seminars and conferences that generate discussions on a variety of topics, such as developments in biosecurity and disease management, farming and aquaculture techniques, and the role of technology in improving sustainability and output. Some industry partners, like the Department of Agriculture, take the initiative to organize thought-provoking conferences, while some exhibitors are ready to position themselves as thought leaders in various technical seminars. On the second day of the event, the much-anticipated Aquaculture Conference will include prominent speakers from the aquaculture industry who will spark vibrant conversations about the newest trends and innovative best practices.

In this issue, seminars accredited by Continuing Professional Development (CPD) are being held by the Philippine Association of Agriculturists, Inc. (PAA) and the Philippine Society of Animal Nutritionists (PHILSAN). These talks will include advanced nutrition strategies, sustainable farming practices, and other topics.

Livestock Philippines and Aquaculture Philippines' continuous commitment to increasing knowledge and proficiency includes accredited learning programs. For the first time, speakers from all around the world will address health-oriented livestock systems and practical solutions at the One Health Solutions for Sustainable Livestock Production Forum. This meeting reinforces the dedication to advancing sustainability and innovation in the cattle and aquaculture industries.

Before the main event on June 23, 2026, exhibitors, industry colleagues, and friends from many networks are invited to participate in the Livestock Philippines Golf Fellowship Game at Hallow Ridge Filipinas Golf Inc. Through a friendly game of golf, this pre-event activity aims to build relationships and promote camaraderie in advance of the main event. Another event that shouldn't be missed is the Livestock Philippines Recognition, which is set for the evening of June 24, 2026.

Selected and carefully examined groups, associations, cooperatives, or people who have made significant.

This event, which is supported by the Department of Agriculture, will recognize organizations, associations, cooperatives, or individuals that have made significant contributions to the livestock and aquaculture sectors after they have been nominated and carefully evaluated. Livestock Philippines and Aquaculture Philippines are steadfast in their dedication as a ground-breaking platform that allows the livestock, poultry, aquaculture, and related industries to embrace innovation, sustainability, and create deeper connections and collaborations. As a result, Livestock Philippines and Aquaculture Philippines will have their first regional event in Cebu from November 11–19, 2026, at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, which will cover the Visayas region and nearby provinces. In addition to providing accessibility and inclusivity for stakeholders across the country, this milestone marks a significant step in the sector's advancement.
