A Legacy of Trust, A Future of Integrity: AMAES and PPCRV Launch 2025 Elections Command Center

“Corporate Social Responsibility is not just a checkbox for AMA Education System — it is the very heartbeat of our institution. Empowering communities through education and technology is our core mission, and it is through meaningful engagements like this that we bring that mission to life.” ~Amb. Amable R. Aguiluz V, AMAES Chairman Emeritus

The AMA Education System (AMAES) and the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) formally opened the PPCRV Command Center at PLDT Sampaloc in a major step ahead of the 2025 national elections, strengthening a long-standing collaboration based on openness, technology, and civic responsibility.

Now in its new location, the command center will act as the focal point for election reporting, data verification, and monitoring.  This launch comes after AMAES and PPCRV signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at AMA University in Quezon City earlier this year, reaffirming their shared commitment to advancing free and fair elections via digital infrastructure and education.

At the heart of the event was the keynote address by AMAES Chairman Emeritus, Amb. Amable R. Aguiluz V, who emphasized the institution’s continuing role in nation-building.

Amb.  Aguiluz described how AMAES has been involved in the nation's political process for many years, beginning with the 1986 quick presidential elections.  Since then, AMA has contributed to five automated elections and 14 local and national polls.  AMAES is once again supplying volunteers from more than 200 campuses throughout the Philippines, computer equipment, audiovisual training materials, and vital IT support for the forthcoming 2025 elections.

The ceremony also commemorated the long-standing collaboration between PPCRV and AMAES, which started in 2010 with the nation's first automated elections.  Beyond institutional cooperation, however, it also highlighted a personal connection—that of AMAES Chairman Emeritus Amb—that has long underpinned this common cause.

Aguiluz and former Philippine Ambassador to the Holy See Henrietta "Tita" de Villa, who is the Founding Chair of the PPCRV.  The ceremony was a warm greeting for Ambassador de Villa, who has been at the vanguard of civic education and electoral reform.  Her presence served as a reminder of the core values of the PPCRV's goal. She was well-known for her fervent Catholic religion and commitment to peaceful elections.
