Glenmark aims to increase awareness about the value of knowing the application of basic first aid, particularly among parents and school facilitators of pre-school and kindergarteners.

High-quality CPR provides compressions that are deep enough, provides compressions that are fast enough. By allowing the chest to return to its normal position after each compression. Don't interrupt compressions for more than 10 seconds.

  1. Chest compression is the act of pushing on the chest.
  2. When you push on the chest, position yourself at the child's side.
  3. Put the heel of one hand on the lower half of the breastbone.
  4. Put the heel of your other hand on top of your first hand.
  5. Let the chest come back up to its normal position.
  6. Compress the chest 30 times.
  7. At a rate of 100 to 120 compressions per minute.
Kids in this age range are usually prone to cuts, scrapes, and burns, acquired either at home, school or other areas like malls, parks, and playgrounds where they are most physically active. Thus, it is of utmost importance that parents and school facilitators are knowledgeable when it comes to applying first aid as the “first responders” on proper wound care management and in other cases of emergencies.
