HANA SHAMPOO Live Con 2018 Shampoong Amoy Marian!

“Parang bagong shampoo hanggang gabi.....
Amoy Marian.”
Marian Rivera for Hana Shampoo

As we all know Hana Shampoo, one of the fastest growing hair care brands in the country, recently held its very own #HanaShampooLiveCon – a digitally-led press conference that catered not only to attendees of the event held at Manila House in BGC, but more so for the thousands of fans of both Hana and its beautiful endorser Ms. Marian Rivera, who were able to watch and participate real-time with live feeds aired via Hana’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

Hana Shampoo

Hana Shampoo has been the hair care brand for almost 6 years. The brand continues to find ways to further improve itself to better cater to the beauty care of Filipinas. Hana Shampoo promised flowery scents on hair. Very much aligned to the brand’s main objective of bringing more and more Filipinas closer to achieving beautiful hair that’s “parang bagong shampoo hanggang gabi”

Hana Shampoo ~ Garden Blooms & Lychees Scent
Hana Shampoo ~ Spring Flowers & Apples Scent
Hana Shampoo ~ Pink Roses & Berries Scent
During the #HanaShampooLiveCon, three special Hana x Flora Vida floral arrangements were presented, showcasing their beauty and fragrance for everyone to see – Twilight Roses, Nightfall Flowers, and Midnight Blooms. Their names inspired by the “’til evening” promise of Hana Shampoo for Filipina hair, and their fragrances matching the three Hana shampoo variants: Pink Roses and Berries, Spring Flowers and Apples, and Garden Blooms and Lychees.

Hana shampoo will make your hair fell so soft and fragrant hair na amoy bagong shampoo hanggang gabi.

Hana Shampoo’s latest TV commercial, which encapsulates the benefit of long-lasting softness and fragrance of hair that Hana is able to provide. It was this TV campaign and tagline that also served as an inspiration to the two other highlights of the “Live Con” – the Hana x Flora Vida by Marian collaboration and the #HANAEndOfDayChallenge.

Hana x Flora Vida by Marian

Flora Vida by Marian, Marian Rivera’s very own floral shop uniquely offers beautifully preserved flowers that maintain their beauty and fragrance well beyond their usual lifespan. The collaboration therefore between Hana Shampoo and Marian’s passion for flowers thru Flora Vida, was therefore, a perfect match, as both offer long-lasting beauty and fragrance benefits to hair and flowers respectively.

Hana x Flora Vida by Marian

#HANAEndOfDayChallenge an online campaign was launched during the event. Marian Rivera personally invited everyone to try the #HANAEndOfDayChallenge for themselves and chronicle a day in their life with hair cared for by Hana Shampoo.

Marian Rivera and Tessa Prieto

The objective of the campaign meant for everyone to gain the first-hand experience of the all-day lasting benefits of Hana and how it’s able to keep up with each one’s lifestyle despite the hair’s exposure to various elements such as the erratic weather and arduous traffic. By participating in this challenge, more and more Filipinas will finally achieve not only soft, smooth hair but also that “Amoy Marian” fragranced hair throughout the day until the evening.

It was such a blossomed flowery scented event with different flowers and I was lucky to be one of the 5 winners of the Instagram post with a personal pink colored Flora Vida by Marian Rivera preserved flower. Guests in attendance were given specially-made Hana End-Of-Day-Challenge Kits, which included sample bottles of Hana Shampoo and bathing products for them to easily try and post their results online.

Hana Shampoo is setting the new standards for well-cared-for hair – and that’s soft and fragrant hair you can feel and smell even until the evening where it matters the most. With this benefit becoming more accessible to millions of Filipinas with the help of Hana and its products, this brand is surely poised to be the go-to hair care brand in the years to come. Let's all join the #HANAEndOfDayChallenge / End-Of-Day-Challenge.

Art and Science behind DlY at the 2-Day Manila Mini Maker Faire

“A gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. It’s a venue for makers to show examples of their work and interact with others about it. Many makers say they have no other place to share what they do. DIY (Do-It-Yourself) is often invisible in our communities, taking place in shops, garages and on kitchen tables. It’s typically out of the spotlight of traditional art or science or craft events. Maker Faire makes visible these projects and ideas that we don’t encounter every day.” ~A Maker Faire

For the second year in a row the Philippines has been in the global maker map again on June 23-24, 2018 at The Mind Museum, Make Magazine, and co-presenter 3M Philippines organize this year's Manila Mini Maker Faire (MMMF).

Local Ingenuity Shines
The Manila Mini Maker Faire 2018 has over 70 Makers from all over the Philippines, including Visayas and Mindanao. Projects like paper crafts, upcycled furniture, electronic beatboxes, and a lightweight car body made from abaca have been showcased together with the usual favorites like robots, 30 printing, STEAM education, and so much more. Attendees had also signed up for a variety of free and ticketed workshops. Workshops such as paper engineering, clay and pottery-making, SD design, and more that had been enjoyed for everyone interested to learn new things.

This year’s MMMF also aims to establish a stronger maker community through networking and collaboration with makers from different parts of the country. A special innovation tour, hosted by 3M Philippines, has been held before the fair to help inspire makers to continue making. Followed by a Maker’s Networking Night to give an extraordinary chance for participants to interact with their fellow makers.

Linking Science and Art
What is game-changing about the Manila Mini Maker Faire and the Maker movement, in general, is that they actively explore the cross-overs among the fields of science, engineering, art, performance, and craft. It is no longer about isolated crafts or guilds but about how one field can inform the other and produce innovative things! The technologies that are birthed in these junctions are extremely interesting and many of them could become breakthroughs. The key is experimentation and collaboration not just with the specialists in your field but with others working on other kinds of materials, processes, and knowledge.

List of Makers
"The Mind Museum continues to push for the Filipino public to be part not just of the conversations in science and engineering around the world but also in making and doing. This second MMMF in a row that The Mind Museum is hosting is a salute to the makers in our local community who not only affirms but persist, despite the odds, to breed and raise the bar of creativity in the way technology can be at the service of human lives." ~Maribel Garcia, Curator of The Mind Museum
The original Maker Faire event was held in San Mateo, CA in 2006 and in 2017 celebrated its twelfth annual show with some 1,250 makers and 150,000 people in attendance. World Maker Faire New York, the other flagship event, has grown in five years to 900+ makers and 90,000 attendees. Twenty-three other larger scale Maker Faires occur in cities around the world Detroit, Atlanta, Berlin, Paris, Rome, Tokyo, and Shenzhen to name a few and over 120 community-driven, independently organized Mini Maker Faires are now being produced around the world.
"BM Philippines has been behind The Mind Museum since its beginning as a founding donor. We are pleased to support the Manila Mini Maker Faire on its second run this 2018. Innovation is at the heart of 3M. We never stop being curious because there is a value in asking what if. In wondering. Wonder leads to improving the world around us.” ~Ariel Lacsamana, President & Managing Director of 3M Philippines.

The Manila Mini Maker Faire is made possible by 3M Philippines and also supported by Norde International Distributors, PCBWay, and Lush.

Eto na! Musikal nAPO! a Theatrical Play featuring APO Hiking Society Classics

It’s always been a dream of mine to take an original and look at what we can do to help support Filipino theatre. With the success of Newsies, I think we’ve accomplished our first mission: establishing that the Globe LIVE 9Works combination can do Broadway. We want to bring that same, creative thought-process, that same production partnership to a local production, to Eto Na! Musikal nAPO!” ~Joe Caliro, Senior Advisor for Creative Marketing & Multimedia Businesses and Executive Producer of Globe Live

Songs such as “Batang Bata Ka Pa”“Awit ng Barkada”, “Mahirap Magmahal Ng Syota Ng lba”, “Bawat Bata”“When I Met You”“Doo Bidoo Bidoo”, band more are just a few of the many APO Hiking Society’s hits during the 80's and 90's wherein I was a high school student back then.

Globe LIVE together with 9Works Theatrical present Eto na! Musikal nAPO! is back with another musical that will keep the audience entertained and glued to their seats. Continuing its exceptional streak in the performing arts after successful productions such as Disney’s Newsies, A Christmas Carol, and Green Day’s American Idiot.

Featuring the music of one of the country’s legendary singing groups and influential OPM artists, APO Hiking Society, and top-billed by singer-actor the production’s lead actor Mark Bautista, is known for his stellar performances on television, film, and plays. He got his big break when he joined and ended up second in a reality TV talent search. He started in other ways, most notable of Here Lies Love by David Byrne and Fatboy Slim performed at Royal National Theatre in London.

Mark Bautista
This Musical is sure to inspire the youth and fill the theater with laughter and nostalgia. This local, original musical follows the success of Disney’s Newsies, another Globe LIVE & 9Works Theatrical collaboration, which received major awards in the recent Gawad Buhay.

With Mr. Jim Paredes

Add to that their individual problems with their girlfriends, love interests, parents and studies, and the current political turmoil of Martial Law, they have a full plate on their hands. The group has to find a way to overcome the challenges.

Set in the ’70s, the golden era of OPM, Eto no! Musikal nAPO! is a romantic comedy that explores the coming of age of seven friends who join a songwriting and singing contest for college students. The group experiences bump in the road when composing the song for the competition and choosing who best to write it.
