Finding the best water closet for varying bathroom needs

Although water closets may have a uniform appearance, the "one size fits all" theory may not always hold true, particularly when taking into account the many individual needs of clients. For example, houses with children may need toilets that are compact in size and ideal for their stature. Likewise, houses with elderly might demand smart toilets with automatic lid opening and closing, automatic flushing, and even night light to assure their safety and convenience in the bathroom.

With the different needs of customers in mind, INAX, the leading sanitary brand in Japan, suggests water closets that might be ideal for your own homes:

Smart toilet for the modern bathroom

The solution to your contemporary bathroom's appeal is an INAX smart toilet.  Among their many exceptional features are automatic cleaning, deodorizing, and flushing, which are perfect for both kids and the elderly.  These smart toilets are also equipped with effective anti-fouling Aqua Ceramic technology with anti-splash foam, cushion, Plasmacluster technology to kill bacteria in the bowl, deodorizing air shield, and an integrated electric pump for a forceful flush that sweeps away all filth.  These water closets have automatic lid opening and shutting, nightlights, and heated chairs for added convenience and security.  If smart toilets are what you’re looking for, check out the INAX SARAS, Satis G and Satis S.

Safety first for children’s toilet

A water closet that is both safe and comfortable for children may be necessary for households with children.  Therefore, take into consideration toilets that are 150–250 mm high from floor to seat, 200–350 mm wide, and 450–600 mm deep.  The toilet is appropriate for your child's size because it falls within this optimal size range.

Maximize space with one-piece toilet

One-piece INAX toilets may be a perfect fit for anyone with a large bathroom.  They are usually sized 720-780mm in length, 370-480mm in width, and 630-700mm in height with a 180-300mm discharge center, making them larger than two-piece toilets.  Typically, their water tanks and seats are joined to create a single block.  Plaque buildup in the gaps is reduced by this kind of construction, which facilitates quicker and easier toilet cleaning.

In addition to these characteristics, INAX one-piece toilets come with innovations like Aqua Ceramic enamel, which keeps a long-lasting, glossy surface free of filth and residue after usage.  forceful vortex or forceful siphon flushing with two degrees of large or little flushing to save water are among its flushing technologies.  The S100, S200, S400, and S600 one-piece toilets all feature these improvements.

Convenience in two-piece toilets

INAX two-piece toilets are the solution for people who want ease of installation.  Normally sized 720 to 780mm in length, 360 to 440mm in width, and 720 to 800mm in height, and featuring a 300mm escape distance, each section of the two-piece toilet may easily be replaced when damaged without the need to replace the entire toilet.

The INAX two-piece toilets, including the AC-602VN, AC-514VAN, and AC-832VN, employ a bright, dirt-resistant surface made of Aqua Ceramic enamel technology.  In order to prevent noisy opening and shutting, it also features a soft-closing lid.  Furthermore, these INAX two-piece toilets include a powerful siphon flushing mechanism that uses powerful vortex flushing technology to swiftly remove any stains.

The practicality of wall-hung toilets

Wall-hung closets from INAX are ideal for customers who want a simple or uncomplicated bathroom design.  Their wall-mounted design maximizes floor space for a larger bathroom, and their no-base feature makes cleaning easier and more convenient.

Modern wall-mounted tanks with powerful vortex flushing technology and two incredibly affordable large or small flush levels that remove all stains are the hallmark of the INAX wall-hung toilets.  These wall-mounted toilets have smooth, easily cleaned rims and soft-closing lids.

From safety, hygiene and convenience to versatile modern designs, there’s a wide variety of water closets from INAX that answer the unique needs of its customers.

About INAX
INAX is a Japanese brand that manufactures innovative sanitary ware and artistic ceramic tiles. The history of INAX can be traced back over 100 years when our forefathers worked on producing the tiles for the second main building of the Imperial Hotel designed by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright. By determining the properties of clay and the impact of fire, through numerous trials, we succeeded in the large-scale production of decorative tiles, which became the foundation of INAX. Since then, we have continuously pursued to deliver products for new and better living, engaging in challenging innovations including the first made-in-Japan shower toilet, self-powered hands-free faucet, and interior tiles that freshen the air in the room. Meanwhile, we cultivated our skills to produce tiles that offer sophisticated expressions through delicate coloring and texture, gaining inspiration from Japanese tradition, culture, and the seasonal changes of nature. Our expressive and technical ability became visible through the tiles of the restored exterior tiles of St. Francesco’s church (built in 1963), designed by Italian architect, Gio Ponti. The installation was completed in 2008.

Watsons Joins Forces with Customers to Offset 4,000 Tons of CO2 to Fight Against Climate Change

“I love how Watsons makes recycling so easy and rewarding. Dropping off my empty bottles during my regular shopping trips has become a habit. It's great to know that my small actions contribute to a cleaner environment, and the shopping vouchers are a nice bonus!” ~Laine Molina, a customer from the Philippines

To strengthen its carbon compensation program, AS Watson's main health and beauty brand, Watsons, announced an extended cooperation with ClimatePartner on Earth Day. Our goal is to offset more than 4,000 tons of CO2 emissions with each purchase of specific Watsons Sustainable Choice products.

Inspiring Customers to Choose Wisely, Live Sustainably

In 2023, Watsons and ClimatePartner started their carbon compensation program, which initially featured seven product categories, in response to the increased consumer demand for Sustainable Choices products.  Our unshakable commitment to sustainability is being further advanced by this endeavor, which is now growing to embrace 30 product types.  Watsons O+O (online and offline) stores in Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Turkey, and the GCC regions are the first to begin the program.

Watsons is dedicated to providing more environmentally friendly items and making sure that each purchase has a significant and positive influence.  Watsons is concentrating on important afforestation in Dingxi, Mainland China, an area impacted by desertification, droughts, and severe soil erosion, in addition to current reforestation work in Rimba Raya, Indonesia.  This effort involves planting native tree species, selected for their resistance in semi-arid conditions, with the goal of restoring degraded cropland into healthy forests.

In addition to its positive effects on the environment, the project empowers local communities and promotes gender equity by giving locals job opportunities in tree planting and forest care, many of which are held by women.

Since its launch, the initiative has been well-received by customers and has garnered positive feedback.

“Choosing Watsons’ Sustainable Choices products just makes sense. It’s an easy way to be more mindful of what I buy without sacrificing quality. I like knowing that even small changes in my routine can make a difference, and it feels good to support brands that care about the environment too.” ~Nicole Espinase from the Philippines

Through its Go Green Living initiatives, which actively involve staff in practical environmental action, Watsons in the Philippines not only empowers customers but also helps the global sustainability movement.  In order to avoid marine pollution and preserve biodiversity, Watsons Philippines has planted more than 5,800 trees during eco-tours and gathered more than 30 bags of rubbish and scrap wood during international coastal cleanups.  These regional initiatives show how Watsons additionally supports climate change through employee-led, community-driven initiatives that mirror the company's larger environmental commitment.

One of the most important ways to fight climate change and protect the biodiversity that supports us all is to encourage consumers to purchase Sustainable Choices goods. By working together, we can shape a more promising and environmentally friendly future for future generations. This Earth Day represents yet another important turning point in Watsons' efforts to combat climate change by enabling its customers to Look Good. Do Good. Feel Great.

BDO supports Bohol-based company in advancing sustainable water solutions

"BDO's loan has been a game changer for us. It has enabled us to build an extensive pipeline network that delivers safe water to households across Bohol. Sustainable methods often require significant investment, and BDO's support has enabled us to meet the community's growing water needs in an environmentally responsible manner." ~Ralph Lim, President of Richli Water
Providing healthy drinking water one municipality at a time. From left to right: Dr. Mutya Kismet T. Macuno, former Trinidad Mayor Judith Del Rosario Cajes, Regional Director DOH Region VII Dr. Jaime S. Bernadas, Trinidad Councilor Jose N. Tabada, Jr., Trinidad Vice Mayor Fernando B. Lim, Richli Water President Ralph Miguel B. Lim, and Trinidad Councilor Joan Robie C. Imboy cut the ribbon during the inauguration of Richli Water’s Trinidad Water Treatment Plant.

Residents of Bohol have a serious problem with water scarcity since many communities lack consistent, drinkable water.  Because Bohol Island must rely on groundwater or subterranean water, saltwater intrusion and contamination have put public health at risk and aided in the spread of waterborne diseases like diarrhea.

Richli Water, a municipal water company in Tagbilaran City with the goal of providing Bohol residents with sustainable and clean water, received financial backing from BDO Unibank Inc. (BDO) in order to help address this issue.

Richli Water gets its supply from surface water systems, such as rivers and springs, as opposed to traditional groundwater-dependent utilities. This helps preserve subterranean natural resources and guarantees a steady and cleaner water supply.  Richli Water has strengthened its ability to satisfy the increasing water demands of Boholanos while protecting the environment by building a new water treatment facility and expanding its pipeline network thanks to BDO support.

Richli Water intends to build more water treatment facilities as part of its growth plans in order to meet the rapidly growing population of Bohol's water needs.  In order to offer more towns on the island complete water solutions, the company is also looking into the construction of wastewater treatment facilities.

Using technology to promote water safety. Richli Water’s state-of-the-art, solar-powered Malingin Water Treatment Plant located at Patrocinio, Cortes, Bohol.

Richli Water places a high premium on maintaining water quality.  At its water treatment facility, the business samples the water hourly to keep an eye on pH balance, chlorine levels, and turbidity.  In order to ensure that Boholanos obtain high-quality water for everyday usage, third-party testing are conducted twice a year to meet Department of Health (DOH) standards.

This relationship is based on BDO's dedication to sustainable development.  BDO is improving the lives of Filipinos and promoting sustainable growth by giving vital funds to businesses like Richli Water.  This program coincides with BDO's long-term commitment to environmental sustainability and building a brighter future for all.

Keep food fresh and electricity costs low with inverter refrigerators, available as low as 0% interest and zero downpayment for as low as ₱23 per day!

Electricity costs can increase with traditional refrigerators, particularly during the summer. Because inverter refrigerators adjust power consumption to maintain food freshness while reducing energy expenses, they are the better option.

Passion and Play: Filipino Youth Experience Basketball Brilliance at NBTC Finals Through PlayTime Cares

“Yung ingay ng mga bata na nanonood, na-appreciate nila yung laro. Para sa kanila, this is something that gives them hope and inspiration,” (“The uproar of the kids who were watching, they appreciate the game. For them, this is something that gives them hope and inspiration.) We want to develop skills, build character, and by doing this, we raise future leaders. I believe in PlayTime CARES because they truly care. NBTC and PlayTime CARES share the same vision—we believe in the power of the youth. They are the future of our nation. ~Coach Eric Altamirano, National Program Director of NBTC
1,500 young women from the Sisters of Mary School in Silang, Cavite were invited by PlayTime Cares and the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) to the Mall of Asia Arena to watch this year’s NBTC finals.

Thanks to the empowering initiative PlayTime CARES (Community, Action, Relief, Empowerment, Sustainability), more than 1,500 young men and 1,500 young women from the Sisters of Mary School in Silang, Cavite, roared with excitement as they witnessed firsthand the future of Filipino basketball at the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Finals held on April 5 and 6, 2025. The atmosphere was electric at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.

These youngsters were more than simply spectators; many of them were attending their first-ever live basketball game.  Every single one of the nanonood's batas is appreciated.

Young Filipino players from the Philippines and outside demonstrated their talent and heart at the NBTC Finals, which featured thrilling action from Division 1, Division 2, and 19-under teams.  The games told tales of tenacity, solidarity, and dreams in motion; they were more than just athletic contests.

Taking home the championships: Fil-Am Nation Select defeated Phenom Blue Fire-Pasay in Division 1; St. Jude Cavite defeated Top Flight Sports-Canada in Division 2; NU Nazareth School defeated Fil-Am Nation Select in 19U Men's 71-65; and NU Lady Bulldogs defeated Fil-Am Jo Koy in 19U Women's 77-75.

The performance of Samantha Medina, a big 6-foot-1 Filipino-American who finished with 9 points and 7 rebounds, was one of the highlights. She has now committed to play collegiate basketball for National University as a result of her outstanding play, demonstrating the genuineness of the opportunities that arise when young athletes are given the proper support.

Jo Koy, the Filipino-American Famous Comedian who sponsored the Fil-Am Jo Koy women's team and flew in to support them, made one of the event's most touching appearances.

“If you have an opportunity to shine the light, do it. There are so many talented, beautiful women athletes out there who just need that little extra. Let’s keep knocking more doors down for these women.” ~Jo Koy, the Filipino-American Famous Comedian

This year's NBTC Finals were more than just a sporting event because to the strong partnership of PlayTime CARES.

“We at PlayTime CARES see sports not just a show of skill and talent but a space where futures are built. We want to bring into the communities we work with a meaningful transformation that empowers every individual, for each to realize their potential, and be on the relentless pursuit of turning dreams into reality. Collaborating with NBTC and Sisters of Mary is a testament to our commitment to revolutionize not only to the landscape we occupy, but to extend the same vigor and unyielding passion to our partners’ spaces as well.” ~Krizia Cortez, Director of Public Relations of PlayTime CARES

Beyond just helping the league, this collaboration brought the young people of Boy's Town and Girl's Town to the arena and gave them life-changing experiences, demonstrating to them that their dreams can come true with perseverance and passion.

The NBTC Finals this year were a movement of hope, solidarity, and potential realized, not just a basketball celebration.  And the message was plain to all the young aspirants in the crowd that day: this is what it means to believe in the youth.
