HERBALIFE SPORTS NUTRITION WITH DR. DANA RYAN

“I think what’s really important is we work to dispel the myth that sports nutrition is only for the elite right because it’s really for the everyday person. It’s for anyone who is active; anyone who is eating to get their heart rate down; anyone who wants to sweat a little bit. I think a lot of people do need to understand that sports nutrition is for them, but along with that is the question of how you become active.  So I think again taking ` baby steps’ will not just help your body, it's going to help your brain. It's going to help everything just by incorporating a little bit of physical exercise into your everyday life.” ~Dr. Dana Ryan Senior Manager, Sports Performance, and Education

Last February 2, 2018, I got invited in Herbalife Nutrition Media Roundtable Discussion with Dr. Dana Ryan Senior Manager, Sports Performance, and Education, she is responsible for helping establish Herbalife as a global leader in sports nutrition. Dr. Ryan has worked with members of the LA Galaxy, Flamengo, Pumas, Barcelona FC and Liga in Ecuador, Football Players training for the NFL Combine and others in support of their nutrition programs at the Meeting Room 12 2nd Floor SMX Convention Center, Moa Complex, Pasay City.

Dr. Ryan explained that the principle of sports nutrition applies to everybody. Even if elite athletes train hard and their nutritional demands are very high, according to her, what you need to understand is that sports nutrition is based on a solid general nutrition foundation which can apply to anyone: young, old, athletic or sedentary.

Dr. Ryan is among the industry experts responsible for establishing Herbalife as a global leader in sports nutrition. She was tasked to design and manage sports clinical trials of Herbalife-sponsored athletes around the world. Aside from the LA Galaxy and Barcelona FC, high profile sports teams that she worked with included Pumas FC, CR Flamengo, and Liga of Equador.
