Philippine Launch of Torres Barcelona, a landmark event that marks the partnership between Tanduay and Torres --- two icons of quality and tradition. 

The Spanish spirits business Torres is legally entering the country through a distribution agreement with Tanduay. In the Philippine market, it will introduce Torres 5 Light and other products that showcase its established line and history of producing spirits.

Christian Visalli, Torres Spirits Global Managing Director, shared that they are looking forward to introducing Torres 5 Light to Filipino consumers.

A Spanish Brandy Elevated for the Filipino Taste

The flagship product in Torres' initial portfolio for the Philippines is Torres 5 Light. Made from quality grapes and aged in oak barrels using the Solera process, this brandy has a refined, upscale vibe with a lighter, more approachable flavor that is perfect for local drinking occasions. 

Torres 5 Light, bottled at 25% ABV, is a superb fusion of quality, heritage, and simple enjoyment. It has a smooth, somewhat sweet flavor with hints of prune, grape, and vanilla, as well as a clear-medium-gold appearance and subtle scents of grape, dried fruits, and vanilla. Enjoying it over ice is the finest option.

Torres 5 Light will be available nationwide, along with other high-end products that appeal to a range of drinkers, from the young and bold to the sophisticated and refined.

A Brand Steeped in Tradition and History

The Torres family has been cultivating grapes in Penedès, Spain, since the sixteenth century. In 1870, Jaime Torres Vendrell founded Casa Torres, a company that specialized in wine. The company started making brandy in 1928 when Juan Torres Casals started using oak barrels to age brandy made from the best white wines from Penedès.
