PlayTime Entertainment Launches PT IDOLS to Power the Future of Pinoy Talent

"PT IDOLS is more than just a talent initiative; it’s a deliberate step in making entertainment a core pillar of PlayTime Entertainment." ~Krizia Cortez, PlayTime Entertainment Director of Public Relations

PlayTime Entertainment is officially entering the talent game with the launch of PlayTime IDOLS (PT IDOLS). This new business line significantly advances the company's objective of establishing an excellent entertainment environment in the Philippines.

PT IDOLS is a state-of-the-art platform created to identify, develop, and support the upcoming generation of performers, artists, and internet celebrities. As the industry shifts toward creator-led content and digital-first mindsets, PT IDOLS is here to ensure Filipino talent stays ahead of the curve.

Not Your Average Talent Agency

Forget the old-school rules. Rather than acting as a traditional agency, PT IDOLS is an all-in-one hub that integrates:
  • Digital-First Branding: Building stars for the platforms that matter.
  • Content Creation: Helping creators tell their stories their way.
  • Commercial Partnerships: Unlocking big-brand opportunities across multiple formats.

Real Traction, Global Reach

The movement has already started. PT IDOLS started out with several dance-based creation groups and now has 25 active creators with plans to expand to 60 in the near future.

The action can be seen on TikTok at @ptimeicons, where audiences in the US and the Philippines are already paying close attention to their talents, indicating the considerable international appeal of Filipino talent.

How to Join the Movement

As a part of the PlayTime family, PT IDOLS links talent, fans, and companies. They have even streamlined the employment process with a dedicated TikTok platform called PlayTime IDOL (hiring). This creates a systematic, clear path from being "discovered" to becoming a professional icon.

By focusing on the heart of content and live entertainment rather than just games, PlayTime is investing in the next generation of artists. By raising the standard for talent development, they hope to guarantee that Filipino stories compete—and thrive—on the global stage.

Through PT IDOLS, PlayTime Entertainment is officially the new gateway for the next era of Philippine entertainment.

Passion and Play: Filipino Youth Experience Basketball Brilliance at NBTC Finals Through PlayTime Cares

Para sa kanila, this is something that gives them hope and inspiration,” (“The uproar of the kids who were watching, they appreciate the game. For them, this is something that gives them hope and inspiration.) We want to develop skills, build character, and by doing this, we raise future leaders. I believe in PlayTime CARES because they truly care. NBTC and PlayTime CARES share the same vision—we believe in the power of the youth. They are the future of our nation. ~Coach Eric Altamirano, National Program Director of NBTC
1,500 young women from the Sisters of Mary School in Silang, Cavite were invited by PlayTime Cares and the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) to the Mall of Asia Arena to watch this year’s NBTC finals.

Thanks to the empowering initiative PlayTime CARES (Community, Action, Relief, Empowerment, Sustainability), more than 1,500 young men and 1,500 young women from the Sisters of Mary School in Silang, Cavite, roared with excitement as they witnessed firsthand the future of Filipino basketball at the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Finals held on April 5 and 6, 2025. The atmosphere was electric at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.

These youngsters were more than simply spectators; many of them were attending their first-ever live basketball game.  Every single one of the nanonood's batas is appreciated.

Young Filipino players from the Philippines and outside demonstrated their talent and heart at the NBTC Finals, which featured thrilling action from Division 1, Division 2, and 19-under teams.  The games told tales of tenacity, solidarity, and dreams in motion; they were more than just athletic contests.

Taking home the championships: Fil-Am Nation Select defeated Phenom Blue Fire-Pasay in Division 1; St. Jude Cavite defeated Top Flight Sports-Canada in Division 2; NU Nazareth School defeated Fil-Am Nation Select in 19U Men's 71-65; and NU Lady Bulldogs defeated Fil-Am Jo Koy in 19U Women's 77-75.

The performance of Samantha Medina, a big 6-foot-1 Filipino-American who finished with 9 points and 7 rebounds, was one of the highlights. She has now committed to play collegiate basketball for National University as a result of her outstanding play, demonstrating the genuineness of the opportunities that arise when young athletes are given the proper support.

Jo Koy, the Filipino-American Famous Comedian who sponsored the Fil-Am Jo Koy women's team and flew in to support them, made one of the event's most touching appearances.

“If you have an opportunity to shine the light, do it. There are so many talented, beautiful women athletes out there who just need that little extra. Let’s keep knocking more doors down for these women.” ~Jo Koy, the Filipino-American Famous Comedian

This year's NBTC Finals were more than just a sporting event because to the strong partnership of PlayTime CARES.

“We at PlayTime CARES see sports not just a show of skill and talent but a space where futures are built. We want to bring into the communities we work with a meaningful transformation that empowers every individual, for each to realize their potential, and be on the relentless pursuit of turning dreams into reality. Collaborating with NBTC and Sisters of Mary is a testament to our commitment to revolutionize not only to the landscape we occupy, but to extend the same vigor and unyielding passion to our partners’ spaces as well.” ~Krizia Cortez, Director of Public Relations of PlayTime CARES

Beyond just helping the league, this collaboration brought the young people of Boy's Town and Girl's Town to the arena and gave them life-changing experiences, demonstrating to them that their dreams can come true with perseverance and passion.

The NBTC Finals this year were a movement of hope, solidarity, and potential realized, not just a basketball celebration.  And the message was plain to all the young aspirants in the crowd that day: this is what it means to believe in the youth.

“Bossing” Vic Sotto’s definition of PlayTime

“We are incredibly honored to have Bossing Vic Sotto as our Brand Ambassador. From the very beginning, his unwavering support has been instrumental to our journey. Today, thanks to his partnership and trust, PlayTime continues to thrive as a leader in the entertainment games industry, bringing joy to countless players across the country. His influence has truly been a blessing, and we look forward to many more years of success together!” ~Jay Sabale, PlayTime Senior PR Manager

The majority of Filipinos believe that if you have good intentions and act morally, you may fulfill all of your dreams and succeed. This belief is known as “Good people always win in the end.”  This sums up Vic Sotto's life perfectly: he has been honest, passionate, and dedicated to helping others.

The 1970s marked the beginning of his career.  Prior to being an actor in popular TV series like Okay Ka, Fairy Ko!, Iskul Bukol, he was a singer. along with Iskul Bukol and numerous others.  Additionally, he entered the film business and produced numerous well-known films that people still remember, such as LastikmanAng Darling Kong Aswang, and Enteng Kabisote. The Kingdom, his most recent film, was released last year and was a participant in the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). He made the switch to television as a personality, appearing on Eat Bulaga, the longest-running noontime program! He was able to help individuals dream of a better future and improve their lives as a result. These accomplishments, together with his discipline, work ethic, and overwhelmingly positive public reception, solidified his status as the “Bossing ng Bayan” of Philippine entertainment.  He has flourished and been fortunate in every area of his life throughout the years.

This very energy is evident in the most recent TV ad for PlayTime, which stars Vic Sotto. The commercial is more than simply an endorsement; it embodies the values that Vic Sotto and PlayTime as a brand stand for: enjoyment, amusement, good fortune, winning, responsible gaming, and sharing your blessings.

On the other hand, attendees of the three-day Dinagyang Festival also enjoyed the fun and entertainment at the DJ's Fun Day event, which was organized by PlayTime Babe Ivayne Omelig and the PlayTimeKadas of Iloilo.  They toured the city's renowned eateries and flavors and went live on social media to round out the experience.

Forging Ties with National Basketball Training Center

On February 3, 2025, PlayTime CARES formally committed to supporting NBTC in training, development camps, and athlete growth programs during a ceremonial handshake between Mr. Eric Altamirano, National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) National Program Director, and Mr. Jay Sabale, PlayTime's Senior PR Manager. By providing them with the tools and chances they require to thrive in basketball and beyond, PlayTime CARES helps to build the foundation for future basketball stars. This partnership promises to have a significant impact on the future of Philippine basketball as well as the growth of young athletes.
