HOTEL101-NISEKO GOES GREEN will be the first CASBEE-rated sustainable hotel in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan

April 19, 2024, Hotel 101 Global Pte. Ltd. ("Hotel101 Global"), in collaboration with renowned engineering firms Kamita Sekkei and Technocrew, and the Hotel101-Niseko project contractor, Iwata Chizaki Inc., signs a commitment to the development of the environmentally friendly Hotel101-Niseko. This endeavor solidifies the partners' shared vision for a property that not only meets eco-friendly operational standards, but also serves as a regional benchmark for sustainability.

Hotel101-Niseko is set to become the first hotel in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan to receive a CASBEE rating.  The Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency, or CASBEE, is Japan's authoritative framework for assessing building environmental performance.

Kamita Sekkei and Technocrew bring extensive experience, having worked for Hokkaido University, the City of Sapporo, and the City of Obihiro, among other organizations. Hotel101- Niseko is poised to become a beacon of sustainable development thanks to the skilled construction of Iwata Chizaki Inc., which also built the iconic Chitose International Airport. This partnership is closely aligned with the values outlined in the recently signed agreement, which outlines a commitment to environmentally responsible practices and the integration of smart systems to improve efficiency. Hotel101-Niseko's structure is intended to promote sustainability through green-inspired architecture and the use of technology that allows for efficient and environmentally friendly operations.
