For the busiest holiday travel season, AirAsia Philippines launches #AlwaysREADY Ngayong Semana Santa 2025

"It's become a tradition for us, here at AirAsia, to provide additional support during peak travel times, especially when families, friends reunite and observe religious tradition. While we know the importance of staying connected during this time, we are also raising awareness amongst guests on the need for vigilance in proper handling and storage of power banks during their travels.” ~First Officer Steve Dailisan, AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Head

In order to guarantee a seamless and secure travel experience for all visitors from April 13 to April 20, 2025, AirAsia Philippines has launched its #AlwaysREADY Ngayong Semana Santa 2025 in expectation of more than 100,000 passengers this Holy Week.

To evaluate the airline's readiness for the expected increase in passengers, Transportation Security Administrator Undersecretary Arthur BisnarAirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla and Spokesperson Steve Dailisan conducted an inspection at the airline's check-in counters.  The group also gave out Santan Summer Drinks to departing passengers at NAIA Terminal 3 as part of the campaign.

Additionally, in accordance with previously published rules from the AirAsia Aviation Group, AirAsia Philippines has implemented a new power bank policy, which is pending evaluation and approval by the Philippine Civil Aviation Authority.

Only power banks with a capacity of no more than 100 watt-hours (Wh) are permitted on board, AirAsia informs passengers.  At the check-in desk, devices with ratings between 100Wh and 160Wh need airline approval. The official AirAsia social media pages, AirAsia Newsroom and AskBo on the AirAsia MOVE app provide access to the AirAsia power bank safety guidelines.

On-board Summer Menu

Coinciding with the busy Holy Week travel period, AirAsia Philippines is bringing summer onboard with the launch of its Santan Summer Menu, featuring the viral Halo-Halo Drink available for pre-booking at only Php 150.

The PHP150 Value Combo Snack Deal, which includes light nibbles like Pain au Chocolat or Cheese Puff matched with Santan drinks, will be available to domestic travelers starting April 22.  For a cool mid-flight treat, guests can also try new alternatives like Raspberry Lychee Jasmine Tea (PHP140) and Fizzy Raspberry Lychee (PHP150), or upgrade to the best-selling Santan Coconut Latte.

As check-in counters open two hours in advance per CAB regulations, AirAsia recommends passengers to arrive at least two hours prior to domestic flights and three hours prior to foreign departures to guarantee a hassle-free trip.

To avoid long queues, guests without checked baggage are encouraged to use self-check-in kiosks. For added convenience, travelers can opt for the Value Pack Lite bundle which includes 20kg of checked baggage and seat selection starting at just Php 660 per flight. For a smooth travel experience, passengers are also advised to review the latest baggage guidelines and list of restricted items here.
