At its annual PAL Awards, Philippine Airlines (PAL) honored Trip.com Group, a leading worldwide travel service provider, by taking first place in the Chairman's Circle Club Award and Top Performer Award categories.  These honors in both categories highlight the Group's outstanding work and strong collaboration with the Philippine flag carrier.

In 2024, flight bookings on the Trip.com Philippines site grew dramatically by over 300% compared to the year before, with the most popular destinations from the Philippines being mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan and Korea.Travel between China and the Philippines is anticipated to increase this year as PAL recently resumed direct flights between Manila and Beijing. With flights between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City scheduled to start in May 2025 and Manila-Da Nang flights scheduled to start in July 2025, Vietnam, another popular destination for Filipinos, is also expected to gain appeal.
