The degree to which workers feel appreciated and involved is one of the many indicators of a healthy workplace. Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines Inc. (PCPPI) has developed into a place for community service, personal development, and character development over the course of its 35-year history.
PCPPI creates an atmosphere where people, whom it refers to as Bravehearts, may flourish both personally and professionally by adhering to its key values, which are ICARE (Integrity and Innovation, Care and Respect, and Excellence and Empowerment).
Two such growth stories are those of Ailyn Caudilla and Armando Mandigma, whose PCPPI experiences demonstrate how the organization's ideals empower its employees.
Aileen Caudilla never thought she would work at PCPPI for so long. She began working in the Naga office, where she had the opportunity to grow personally in addition to professionally as a member of the Human Resources (HR) team.
She can hone her organizational and communication abilities by interacting with a variety of personalities. In order to better grasp PCPPI's culture and how it relates to her role, she asked senior staff members on her team for assistance. She still has the same humility and openness to listening today.
Because she handled a variety of tasks at PCPPI, including managing direct reports and payroll issues, she honed her attention to detail.
Addition to overseeing the efficient operation of employee-company relations, Ailyn serves as the president of the Bukluran Council at her office. The members of the Bukluran Council are PCPPI staff members that spearhead and support local engagement programs.
She organizes a year's worth of socio-civic events in accordance with PCPPI's ideals by bringing together representatives from the many departments using the abilities she acquired in her previous position as an HR assistant. This includes collaborating with partner schools at the Department of Education's yearly Brigada Eskwela program.
All in a day’s work
Armando Mandigma is a quintessential blue Batangueño—warm, sociable, and amiable. At PCPPI's biggest production site in Sto, he oversees Environmental, Health, Security, and Safety (EHSS). Batangas' Tomas.
Armando is a seasoned professional who regularly participates in community projects, such as staff fitness programs and river cleanups. His years of expertise have enabled him to strike a balance between overseeing everyday operations and keeping an eye on adherence to security and safety regulations.
Since he obviously sees his coworkers as members of a greater community, it is evident that his work is a vocation. As part of his job, Armando supervises the safety of both staff members and guests at the plant, working with his team to reduce the possibility of mishaps on the property.
