"BDO's loan has been a game changer for us. It has enabled us to build an extensive pipeline network that delivers safe water to households across Bohol. Sustainable methods often require significant investment, and BDO's support has enabled us to meet the community's growing water needs in an environmentally responsible manner." ~Ralph Lim, President of Richli Water
Residents of Bohol have a serious problem with water scarcity since many communities lack consistent, drinkable water. Because Bohol Island must rely on groundwater or subterranean water, saltwater intrusion and contamination have put public health at risk and aided in the spread of waterborne diseases like diarrhea.
Richli Water, a municipal water company in Tagbilaran City with the goal of providing Bohol residents with sustainable and clean water, received financial backing from BDO Unibank Inc. (BDO) in order to help address this issue.
Richli Water gets its supply from surface water systems, such as rivers and springs, as opposed to traditional groundwater-dependent utilities. This helps preserve subterranean natural resources and guarantees a steady and cleaner water supply. Richli Water has strengthened its ability to satisfy the increasing water demands of Boholanos while protecting the environment by building a new water treatment facility and expanding its pipeline network thanks to BDO support.
Richli Water intends to build more water treatment facilities as part of its growth plans in order to meet the rapidly growing population of Bohol's water needs. In order to offer more towns on the island complete water solutions, the company is also looking into the construction of wastewater treatment facilities.

Richli Water places a high premium on maintaining water quality. At its water treatment facility, the business samples the water hourly to keep an eye on pH balance, chlorine levels, and turbidity. In order to ensure that Boholanos obtain high-quality water for everyday usage, third-party testing are conducted twice a year to meet Department of Health (DOH) standards.
This relationship is based on BDO's dedication to sustainable development. BDO is improving the lives of Filipinos and promoting sustainable growth by giving vital funds to businesses like Richli Water. This program coincides with BDO's long-term commitment to environmental sustainability and building a brighter future for all.
