Kingston Technology Continues to Lead the DRAM Module Market in 2024

“The 2024 findings from TrendForce reflect the companys ongoing strength and adaptability in the face of yet another demanding business year. This milestone not only reaffirms Kingstons dominant presence in the market but also underscores the companys resilience and significance within the industry, as we now proudly maintain our top position for the 22nd consecutive year." ~Kingston

Kingston Technology, a world leader in memory products and technology solutions, said today that it has been named the top third-party DRAM module supplier in the world based on the most current revenue rankings from analyst firm TrendForce.  Kingston is still in the lead with an estimated 66% of the market.  Sales of DRAM modules rose 7% year over year in 2024, following a 28% decline in 2023, according to TrendForce. Kingston maintained a significant market share even if its sales growth slowed in the second half of 2024 due to a decline in client demand.

According to the report, 81% of global sales in 2024 came from the top five memory module manufacturers worldwide, with the top eight accounting for 83%.  The statistics further cemented Kingston's position as the unchallenged leader in DRAM module manufacture, considering that the second-place provider had barely 5% of the market.  At the end of Q4 2023, DRAM suppliers began prioritizing high bandwidth memory and server-grade DDR5 products.  This strategic shift made it more difficult to get other DRAM types, which raised demand and total pricing.  In response, module manufacturers increased sales and replenished stock, enabling the market to reach $13.3 billion in 2024. However, in the latter half of the year, rising module prices began to suppress demand, ultimately limiting sales growth.

In 2024, a limited-edition Kingston FURY Renegade model with racecar-inspired styling was introduced.  The Kingston FURY Renegade DDR5 RGB Limited Edition enhanced overclocking potential and decreased performance bottlenecks with its aggressive speed of 8000MT/s and striking new curved shape modeled after modern racecars.  Kingston also unveiled the Kingston FURY Renegade DDR5 CUDIMMs, which work with Intel's new 800-series chipset (formerly known as Arrow Lake).  With the introduction of overclockable DDR5 CUDIMM modules, professionals who demand peak performance and want to expand the capabilities of their systems without compromising signal integrity may now reach a larger audience.
