Acer Academy and Benilde taps technology to advance Deaf Education

Acer Academy and the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) have teamed to provide learning devices for deaf students through the School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS), a program dedicated to provide deaf Filipino learners an inclusive, high-quality education.

Acer Academy provided DLS-CSB with five Acer TravelMate laptops. These devices are intended to help SDEAS students complete academic assignments and digital coursework, engage in blended learning activities, access online learning platforms, and improve their digital literacy and employability.

In order to help schools, colleges, and universities in the Philippines integrate technology into their curricula, Acer launched the Acer Academy initiative. This program offers hardware, software, training, and support to create digital classrooms, enhance digital literacy, and encourage innovative teaching methods.
