PLDT Global Inc. has demonstrated its commitment to global excellence by achieving ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, the globally recognized standard for quality management systems. The certification, granted by TÜV SÜD PSB Philippines Inc., demonstrates PLDT Global's dedication to customer-centricity, operational excellence, and its ability to consistently offer top-notch connectivity and state-of-the-art digital solutions to Filipino communities and enterprises worldwide.
A Year of Strategic Partnerships and Global Milestones
In a year full of strategic partnerships and initiatives that strengthen the company's reputation as a dependable development and connectivity facilitator, this ISO certification is the most recent accomplishment.
PLDT Global Corporation increased its partnership with stc Group, a top digital and telco firm in Saudi Arabia, to offer seamless, secure, and reasonably priced international voice services. This enhanced PLDT Global's standing as a reputable cross-border connectivity provider and voice aggregator.
The company also collaborated with STC's Center3 digital infrastructure branch to address the increasing need for cloud computing, subsea capacity, and hyperscale data centers across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. PLDT Global also partnered with BBIX, one of the largest Internet exchange providers in Asia, to provide enterprises expanding in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond greater flexibility, scalability, and affordability.
PLDT Global expanded its solutions portfolio beyond connection with a partnership with Multisys, a 2025 Stevie® IBA Company of the Year for Computer Software, demonstrating the Philippines' ability to supply advanced, enterprise-grade software solutions globally.
Shaping the Future Beyond Connectivity
The 21st Asian Carriers Conference (ACC), with the theme "Shaping the Future Beyond Connectivity," brought together global industry experts to talk about how human connection is still crucial in the face of rapidly evolving technology that is transforming industries and promoting sustainability and innovation. Along with Philippine Airlines, the nation's flag airline, and all local telecom providers, PLDT Global showed the country's readiness to host the connectivity and data center needs in the Philippines.
Additionally, the ACC 2025 CSR effort, which focused on livelihood and education, was led by PLDT Global, PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), and Samsung Philippines. The Cebu Diversified Advocacy Cooperative (CEDACO) donated smart TVs and tablets to Looc National High School in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, and provided FarmTech training kits to cocoa growers.
'Alagang Bossing' for Global Filipinos
PLDT Global expanded its product range and reinforced its mission of offering borderless solutions that empower Filipino workers globally with Tindahan ni Bossing (TinBo), the all-in-one digital marketplace app for Filipinos anywhere.
This year, PLDT Global appointed Vic Sotto as TinBo's first brand ambassador, carrying out the platform's "Alagang Bossing" pledge. Through collaborations with merchants like Share Treats and Pluxee, e-vouchers for Philippine wallet top-ups, movie theaters, clothing stores, Christmas bundles, and Noche Buena essentials were introduced to TinBo's growing ecosystem.
In addition to the fintech subsidiary of the stc Group, stc Pay Bahrain, Filipinos in Bahrain use the stc Pay app to make direct deposits into their Philippine e-wallets. The option to send e-gift vouchers and obtain mobile load and content subscription PINs makes it easy for customers to support loved ones in the Philippines. These services are powered by Vortex, PLDT Global's digital distribution infrastructure that ensures secure and reliable e-commerce transactions.
Prioritizing OFW welfare
In 2025, PLDT Global expanded its collaborations with the public and private sectors to support the welfare and communication needs of Filipinos residing overseas and those aspiring to work overseas.
In partnership with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas, PLDT Global facilitated zero-rated calls to the 1343 Actionline Against Human Trafficking via TinBo's Smart Virtual Number (SVN). The Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) provides 24/7 assistance to victims of human trafficking and their families through the 1343 Actionline.
PLDT Global also provided free calls via TinBo's SVN for Filipinos affected by the Israel-Iran crisis, ensuring access to essential government services during emergencies without having to pay extra.
Staffhouse International Resources, one of the top hiring companies in the Philippines, partnered with PLDT Global to provide OFWs awaiting deployment with a complimentary six-month SVN. This allows OFWS to receive calls and texts from the Philippines, obtain OTPs from Philippine e-wallets, banks, and government apps, maintain a Philippine virtual mobile number while overseas, and make free calls to crucial government hotlines like the Department of Migrant Workers—Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Hotline 1348.
PLDT Global partnered with DMW and the mental health NGO Mind You to offer contact center agents and DMW employees specialized Mental Health First Aid training in observance of Mental Health Awareness Month in October. This training equipped frontline employees with the skills they needed to support distressed OFWs while managing their own resilience and wellbeing.
Celebrating Filipino Pride Overseas
Over 10,000 Filipinos traveled to Hong Kong for the four-day HK Fest Philippine Independence Day celebrations in June, which were organized by PLDT Global-Tinbo in partnership with MQuest Ventures and Philippine Airlines. The Philippine Association of Hong Kong (PAHK) honored PLDT Chairman and CEO Manny V. Pangilinan with the Gintong Alon Leadership Award during the ceremony in appreciation of his persistent support for Filipinos residing abroad.
