Last February 27, 2023, SM Foundation Inc. (SMFI) sent aid through the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) in support of Turkey and Syria, both of which were affected by the earthquake. Connie Angeles, Executive Director of the SM Foundation's Health and Medical Programs, represented SMFI, which gave PRC 200 gasoline generators to power Syria and Turkey after the earthquake. In addition, the social good arm of SM provided earthquake victims with assistance by contributing Php5 million.

After a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck northwest Syria and southeast Turkey, the aid arrived. After the disaster, a magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck southern Turkiye, causing additional damage and casualties.
