SM Center Sangandaan Job Fair Connects 726 Applicants With Nearly 8,000 Job Openings

SM Center Sangandaan’s weekend job fair attracted 726 applicants, with 150 job seekers successfully hired on the spot as participating companies strengthened their workforce ahead of the Christmas season.

Held on the mall’s third level, the employment event featured more than 7,971 job vacancies from companies representing various industries, including retail, hospitality, logistics, and business services.

Job seekers were able to explore a wide range of positions, from sales associates and customer service representatives to warehouse personnel, administrative staff, and management roles.

The job fair provided applicants with access to employment opportunities as businesses prepared for increased customer demand and additional operational requirements during the holiday season, one of the busiest periods of the year for many companies.

According to SM Center Sangandaan Assistant Mall Manager Roma Bautista, the mall’s partnership with participating employers was intended to help connect job seekers with companies seeking to expand their workforce in preparation for the holiday season.

She added that the job fair at SM Center Sangandaan was designed not only to help companies fill their immediate manpower requirements but also to give applicants access to employment opportunities that could develop into long-term careers and professional growth.

The event also underscored the importance of community-based job fairs in connecting employers with qualified job seekers, especially as businesses prepare to increase their workforce ahead of the busy holiday shopping season.

Initial results showed that 150 applicants were hired during the event, while hundreds of other job seekers were able to submit applications and explore available positions offered by participating companies.
