Award-winning Filipino folk-pop group Ben&Ben has returned to the top of the streaming charts with the release of "Lifetime (Reimagined)" under Sony Music Entertainment.

With a No. 3 debut on the Spotify Top Songs – Global and a No. 4 peak on the Spotify Philippines Daily Top Songs Chart, the new version of the well-known ballad caused a stir overseas.

The updated version of "Lifetime," which debuted on March 31, 2026, has gained renewed success on digital media due to its virality on TikTok. The new verse, "How do you cry for a love that doesn't even exist?" has been the focus of a recent increase in social media trends. SB19 turns frustration into fire with era-defining anthem “VISA”

“This release will really define SB19’s sound, personality, and the way we present ourselves. We have always been known for being vocal, but this time it is even stronger. We are addressing sensitive and current topics that people can relate to, even if not everyone agrees with us. We are ready to face any reaction. This release is very powerful and a strong way to start the year and introduce this new era." ~Stell of SB19

The P-Pop trailblazers raise the stakes with a song that channels global ambition and systemic frustration into a rallying cry for change.

SB19 represents a watershed in P-Pop history with the release of "VISA," their first official single of 2026 and the bold follow-up to the Simula At Wakas era. In addition to providing entertainment, SB19's "VISA," declares that the new musical period will dare to question, agitate, and shake up comfort for conviction. It addresses issues that are pertinent to society and provides a more confident and unyielding attitude to artistic direction.

This brand-new song addresses the daily reality of Filipinos trying to transform society and give their family a stable and secure existence. It conveys the frustrations of Filipino professionals, athletes, artists, and workers overseas who give their all to represent the Philippines only to have institutional barriers prevent them from achieving their goals and being recognized. With scathing lyrics that confront as they wound, the five-piece powerhouse “calls out the invisible cages that restrict opportunities” on their brand-new song, exposing the irony of a people hailed for their resilience but plagued by bureaucratic injustices.

SB19's most recent single makes a message about access and privilege, as well as the disconnect between mobility and global participation. Actual events and recent conversations regarding the effects of visa denials on Filipino talent served as some of its inspiration. By concentrating these issues from a more distinct perspective, SB19 transforms personal and collective frustrations into an anthem of awareness and, to some extent, resistance.

“We were very affected by visa applications during our tour. SB19 has been active for seven years, and we hope that songs like these can reach officials and encourage laws that make it easier for athletes, artists, and others working overseas to access visas. This could include creative acts, producing content, or receiving rebates for spending related to the arts. This is not just an attempt to produce music, but to push Filipino culture forward. There is little support from the government, so it is important that our work can make an impact not only personally but also on a national level." ~Pablo of SB19

Josh echoes the well-known frustration by sharing similarities with the difficulties faced by athletes that train and work hard to compete abroad and make Filipinos proud. Justin highlights the song's intentional message while talking about the ongoing issue.

"I have always had this dream during our tour, as someone who represents the Philippines all over the world. I have also seen the struggles of athletes when they represent the country. They give so much for the Philippines, but it often feels like the country does not give back. There needs to be a change." ~Josh of SB19

With its bold, unconventional production and brass sounds, "VISA" musically conveys its thematic tension. The song combines sonic experimentation with criticism, satire, and personal experience. It was inspired by a melody Pablo came up with during one of their brand campaign shots.

"We are highly skilled and hardworking, and we’ve significantly contributed to raising the morale of Filipinos abroad, as well as impacting the economy in positive ways. But somehow, it often feels like we are at the end of the line.” ~Justin of SB19

SB19’s “VISA” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.

"This song is very unconventional and unorthodox. The instruments are not the usual ones, especially the melody. It is kind of unusual, but in a good way. The melody is impactful, and the instruments we used in the track are well chosen. The percussions, ad-libs, and other elements are perfectly placed, making it a very pleasing experience for the ears." ~Ken of SB19

dwta and SB19’s justin reimagines “Sampung Mga Daliri” into a tale of doomed romance

“I thought it was a long shot, but I asked my team if there was any chance we could work on something together. Even before it was confirmed, I was already looking through my notes, trying to find a song that would match both our voices or maybe even writing something new. That’s when I stumbled upon Sampung Mga Daliri. It felt like the song was calling me, so I picked up my guitar, rewrote it, and finally finished it. I actually gave them two other options, but Sampung Mga Daliri just felt right. It was the one. After everything, we finally got to bond in person during shoots and trips, and that’s when I really got to know him. You know how famous people can sometimes feel intimidating or hard to approach? justin’s the total opposite. It’s like working with a sibling from a different parent. We just clicked, both musically and personally. Since our styles are pretty similar and we share the same vision for the song, it was easy for us to agree on every idea we pitched. The whole process came together so smoothly. I’m really happy with how it turned out in such a short time.” ~dwta, Rising singer-songwriter, award-winning Bicol-based act

Rising singer-songwriter dwta links up with SB19’s justin for a striking new collaboration, “Sampung Mga Daliri,” a folk-pop lullaby that captures the degradation of a love that was once formidable and promising.

Released under Sony Music Entertainment, the track reimagines the classic Filipino nursery rhyme into a poignant tale of doomed romance, with no way to save it.

The collaboration came as a pleasant surprise to justin, who was immediately drawn to the song’s emotional depth.

“Aside from being labelmates under Sony Music Philippines, when I heard Sampung Mga Daliri, it immediately felt like the right fit. Out of all the songs sent to me, this one really stood out. It had something special.” ~Justine of SB19

Throughout the creative process, Dwta and Justin collaborated closely, despite their hectic schedules preventing them from recording together in person. The two honed the song, attended virtual meetings, and made sure their connection was evident in every note.

"Sampung Mga Daliri," which was produced by dwta and frequent collaborator Brian Lotho, is influenced by the eerie arrangements of "Bloom" by The Paper Kites, but it has a unique twist that captures the sound of both musicians. The end product is a beautiful, emotionally open song that delves into brooding vulnerability—something that Justin and Dwta had not yet done in their earlier releases. By stepping outside of their comfort zones, the song enables them to produce something novel, stirring, and profoundly poignant.

Dwta and Justin recently performed the unreleased song live at the 10th Wish Music Awards on January 19, 2025, to debut their new partnership. Both musicians hinted at the song's arrival prior to its release by posting excerpts of the chorus from "Sampung Mga Daliri" on their individual social media accounts on January 16 and 18. The song's theme of love slipping through your fingers is aptly portrayed in the teaser's captivating single cover, in which Justin tries to reach for Dwta's hands from a window but she grudgingly disengages.

A series of live performances known as "dwta series: Magka-Ibigan" have also been released by Dwta, which connect to the story of "Sampung Mga Daliri" and give fans a closer look at the song's backstory prior to its official release. As they use music to examine the delicate balance of love and loss, this sincere partnership represents a new chapter for both artists.

"Sampung Mga Daliri" is now available on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment. Watch the music video on dwta’s official YouTube channel at 8 pm. Stay tuned for the short-form miniseries featuring dwta and justin on the former’s YouTube and social media pages.

Paolo Sandejas celebrates interconnectedness in debut album, the world is so small

“This album is divided into four thematic arcs, each representing a different phase of a relationship. The first two songs cover excitement of a honeymoon phase. The next two dive into mental health. The third set focuses on the challenges of long-distance relationships, and the final set covers the moving on stage and finding peace. Through these stories, the album paints a picture of interconnectedness—how no matter where we are in life, we are always tethered to one another. It’s funny cause I can always say the songs are about the character’s experiences not mine,” shares the Sway act. “But I’d be lying in some ways because these songs are so closely based on my own life. That extra layer of ‘protection’ though helped me get even more vulnerable in the songs. When I was writing it, I imagined the final scene of a love story, and this song playing as the couple went their separate ways. That visual really influenced the sound. It’s definitely the most unique song on the album, and I’m so proud of it. I didn’t consciously set out to create a particular mood when writing the album. Considering we had the unique challenge of creating this album remotely with me in LA and my co-producer Xergio Ramos back in Manila, I really think we did a great job! It’s always a joy working with him and I’m so glad he did this album with me.” ~Paolo Sandejas, Filipino Singer-Songwriter

Filipino Singer-Songwriter Paolo Sandejas releases his highly anticipated debut album, the world is so small—out now via Sony Music Entertainment.

The eight-track album is a deep dive into love, grief, and self-discovery, showcasing the beauty in life's emotional upheaval, especially during a person's formative twenties.

Sandejas claims that The World Is So Small is an anthology of moments that reflect the complex web of human connections rather than merely an album. Sandejas uses his music to examine how our common experiences bind us together, from short-lived romances to long-lasting heartbreaks and the silent hope that endures through it all.

Sandejas interweaves tidbits of his personal experiences into the songs, which tell the story of a fictional young couple navigating the difficulties of a romantic relationship. In particular, Sandejas' vision of a traditional coming-of-age love story is portrayed in the title track, which leaves the listener with a haunting sense of nostalgia as the couple part ways in a cinematic moment.

Check out the album track list:
  1. your favorite song
  2. sirens
  3. moonlight
  4. roses
  5. just a song
  6. manila to LA
  7. all the time
  8. the world is so small

Sandeja will give live performances at two special events in January 2025 to commemorate the release of his first full-length album. The first is scheduled for January 10 at Nook Molito and will include special appearances by Jolianne, Leanne & Naara, and Syd Hartha. The second will feature performances by SOS, Kenaniah, and The Ridleys at 123 Block on January 17. You can purchase tickets at bit.ly/worldsosmalllaunch.

Paolo Sandejas’ ‘the world is so small’ is now streaming worldwide on all digital platforms via Sony Music Entertainment. Watch out for the official music video of the title track on Paolo Sandejas’ official YouTube page at 6 pm.

SB19's Josh Cullen drops emotional R&B track "Sumaya"

“Sumaya is about the heart-wrenching journey of accepting that it's time to let go of someone and the memories you've shared. It’s a song that delves into the pain and sadness of moving on while still cherishing the good times you had together. The line really captures that final, painful goodbye. We drew inspiration from our own life experiences and memories, which makes this song very personal and emotional for both of us. Kael and Tribute are real gems in this industry, and their combined efforts helped achieve a sound that is haunting and melancholic, perfectly matching the theme of letting go and the sorrow that comes with it. In the music video for Sumaya, I wake up in a house filled with the most important memories of my life, memories of someone I love deeply. As I touch these objects, they start to disintegrate, and I realize it's because of me. As I continue, I find myself shifting between reality and the void, struggling to escape the overwhelming chaos and emotions happening all at once. I don't ever want to forget these memories, yet I know I have to accept and release what I can’t control.” ~Josh Cullen

After announcing his participation at this year’s Round Festival in South Korea, Josh Cullen continues his winning streak with the release of his new single, “Sumaya” under Sony Music Entertainment.

Delivering a quiet rumination on heartbreak and acceptance, “Sumaya” comfortably repackages R&B, trap, pop, and bedroom hip-hop with minimalism that reveals rewarding folds and layers as it progresses. It’s a vulnerable track that expresses the ugly truths of a relationship aftermath but is written from a place of genuine care for the other person’s freedom and happiness.

According to SB19’s lead rapper and vocalist, the lyrics tackle the bittersweet feeling of parting ways and looking back at a kind of love that once felt life-affirming and real. With the line, "kapag naihatid ka, di na kita susunduin,” Josh demonstrates, with nuance and skill, that he is capable of making songs that hit home.

In terms of production, Josh shares that he and his co-producer, Kael, were very careful in coming up with the initial groundwork to capture the emotional depth and bittersweet nature of “Sumaya.” He even added some final tweaks to make sure everything felt right, balancing form and intricacies with the genuine intent of his songwriting style. Then, the talented team at Tribute Collective stepped in to re-arrange it, adding their unique touch.

The track's release is accompanied by a music video featuring Josh Cullen as its lead star. The visuals depict the P-Pop superstar waking up from the relics of the past, allowing himself to journey back to a time when life was brimming with love and rosy optimism, but finally realizes that everything is just an illusion that he has to deal with.

The music video was directed by Josh Cullen and Jonathan Tal Placido.

“Big shout out to Miko del Rosario as well. He stuck with me during those late-night editing sessions. Despite the tight schedule and having no sleep at all, it wasn’t as stressful as I imagined. We were having fun, and their passion and dedication made the whole experience incredibly rewarding.” ~The Yoko Na

Josh Cullen’s “Sumaya” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide. Watch the music video on Josh Cullen’s YouTube channel.

dwta and Arthur Miguel reflect on unrequited feelings in collab single “Tahan na”

“Tahan Na tells us to acknowledge our feelings of longing and heartache but also to remember that our value isn't based on someone else's feelings. In the end, it's a song about staying strong, not giving up, and believing in the transformative power of love. To recreate that cozy vibe, we recorded the acoustic guitar while sitting on the floor, mirroring the casual and intimate setting of my bedroom, where I often find inspiration. We wanted the song to feel like a comforting hug for anyone who listens to it. At first, we weren't sure if we should make it sound like a lullaby or a grand melancholic dance within a castle. But then we thought, why not blend both elements? So, we incorporated strings like the violin, reminiscent of a grand ballroom, while still maintaining the gentle strums of the acoustic guitar and the soft melodies of the keyboard, blending them together to create something special. I realized that his singing style and emotions would add a lot to the song's meaning and make it even more heartfelt. Our collaboration has opened up new opportunities for growth and exploration in our music. Working with Arthur Miguel is really enjoyable for me, and every time we work together, there's always something new to learn, some adventure, and lots of fun moments.” ~dwta or Jhasmine Villanueva

The heartfelt tune marks the second time that the two artists have worked together for a project—the first one being a reworked version of the streaming hit “Lihim”.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter dwta teams up with chart-topping newcomer Arthur Miguel on “Tahan Na,” out today via Sony Music Entertainment.

Conveying the common sentiment of yearning for love and companionship, "Tahan Na" articulates the challenges of holding unreciprocated emotions for someone unable to return the same depth of affection. As explained by the Bicolano recording artist, this heartfelt song depicts the resilience of maintaining hope for love even in the face of repeated disappointments caused by circumstances.

The stripped-down, alt-country song was written by dwta in 2022. It has gone through multiple iterations since then, with Brian Lotho co-producing the tune with the young singer-songwriter under one condition: capture the immediacy and emotional vulnerability of the moment when the latter first conceived the material in her own bedroom. Nothing more, nothing less.

"Tahan Na" marks the second time that dwta and Arthur Miguel have worked together on a project. The two accomplished solo artists linked up last year on the reworked version of “Lihim,” which blends Tagalog and Bicolano with captivating results.

Villanueva emphasized that working with Arthur Miguel has always been a remarkable experience. Having great connection and chemistry when it comes to writing, collaborating, and performing songs as a duo, dwta is grateful to the budding crossover act for allowing her to experiment with different musical elements and expand her skills as both a songwriter and performer.

dwta and Arthur Miguel’s “Tahan Na” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.

SB19’s PABLO opens 2024 with genre-blurring single “DETERMINADO”

“We're a team, we always work hand in hand, always learning from each other, and drawing inspiration back and forth. We grew up in the same environment so we just vibe and connect easily. It’s a realization when we find the courage to actually do what we want, and what kind of artist we aspire to be. We are confronting our fears and roadblocks, but still moving forward. Again, going back to the song title, we are indeed on this journey. I have so many things planned to do in 2024, and definitely one of those is to release my own album.” ~Pablo

Blending hip-hop with rock music influences, the prolific songwriter/producer teams up with his brother Josue on this astounding new jam.

SB19’s PABLO is back with another bop!

The Filipino singer-songwriter/producer blurs the line between hip-hop and rock on the new single “DETERMINADO,” his first offering this year under Sony Music Entertainment.

Produced by his brother Josue, the genre-averse track pushes experimentation as far as it can go while retaining the La Luna act’s distinct qualities as an artist who is comfortable in his own identity and sonic direction.

Speaking highly of his favorite collaborator, PABLO praised Josue for infusing game-changing ideas during the incubation period of the track and allowing him to shine with a solid production style that doesn’t necessarily have to confine to trends.

Integrating dense instrumentation with gloomy synths and booming, confrontational beats, “DETERMINADO” not only impresses listeners with its scale and ambition but also reveals a different side of the SB19 vocalist and main rapper: someone who finds moments of vulnerability and strength in the face of chaos.

Determined to jumpstart a new phase in his career, PABLO is more confident in his undertaking as a musician, going to a sonic space that remains untouched even by his contemporaries and peers.

He adds, “Our music is not just the output; it’s a collective of all the micro-things that happen behind the scenes and all throughout the process. We are more assertive now. Also, this song marks a departure from our previous releases; it's a blend of hip-hop and rock genres.”

Aside from “DETERMINADO,” PABLO is also gearing up for a more exciting 2024. He’s looking into dropping more solo releases apart from his work with SB19, and possibly a debut album to be released soon.

PABLO’s “DETERMINADO” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.

Ace Banzuelo teams up with acclaimed filmmaker JP Habac in the music video of “Meron Ba”

“For people who aren’t born into privilege and don’t have enough resources to take risks, decision-making is tough. They don’t have a choice but to ask the universe for a sign or take a leap of faith, thinking that it would give them a sense of clarity. Taking risks is good if you have the privilege, but if not, you have to be realistic. Ace is very hands-on with the material. It’s refreshing to witness how deeply involved he is, from concept development to the post-production phase. You can tell right away how protective he is with the vision of the song and how collaborative he is as an artist.” ~JP Habac, Award-Winning Filmmaker

Filipino Singer-Songwriter and Producer Ace Banzuelo relives the messy and glorious days of high school romance in the music video for his new single “Meron Ba.”

The MV is directed by award-winning filmmaker JP Habac, who is responsible for some of the most iconic romantic dramas in recent years, including 2017’s I’m Drunk, I Love You, 2021’s Dito At Doon and 2023’s Love You Long Time.

The visuals relive the formidable years of high school romance: its thrill, messiness, and everything in between.

According to Habac, the concept behind the visual narrative is all about taking risks.

Ace Banzuelo stars as the dreamy student navigating the most painful and endearing parts of adolescence while getting entangled in a relationship mishap.

“I'm happy to express myself freely, not only as a musician but also as an actor in my music videos. I enjoyed collaborating with direk JP as the experience gave me more ways to execute this video authentically.” ~Ace Banzuelo, Filipino Singer-Songwriter and Producer

As for Habac, he appreciates the Muli performer for his valuable inputs on the project.

The MV also stars young actors Pauline Quijano, Jack Burgos, and Nour Hooshmand, who also played an important role in the music video of his previously released single, “Tadhana.”

Miley Cyrus releases reflective new single “Used To Be Young”

“This song is about honoring who we’ve been, loving who we are and celebrating who we will become. I feel proud when reflecting on my past and optimistic when thinking about the future. I am grateful to my loyal fans who make my dreams a reality daily. I am sincerely thankful for the stability of your steadfast support. This song is for you. It’s super emotional because I am kind of a mini-me of my mom and I could see her inside of the camera by using a technology where I could livestream with my mom from inside of the camera. So, we could see each other and as she was dancing it just made me cry, it made me laugh, it brought up so many real emotions and I think it’s really letting people into true emotion, which I don’t feel we get to see very much these days.” ~Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has released her new song and video, “Used To Be Young” – listen here and watch the video here.

In celebration of the release of “Used To Be Young”, Miley shared stories and insights from the many chapters of her life within the TV special event Endless Summer Vacation: Continued (Backyard Sessions). Reimagined from the version which originally aired on Disney+, the special features a brand-new interview as well as music from her latest release Endless Summer Vacation and aired on ABC just hours before the release of “Used To Be Young”. The new, reimagined special is now streaming on Hulu.

“Used To Be Young” is Miley’s first new music offering since the release of her critically and commercially acclaimed album Endless Summer Vacation which featured her hit single “Flowers” and twelve additional tracks. A true worldwide smash, “Flowers” spent 8 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100  – a personal best for Miley. “Flowers” was #1 on US Pop Radio for 10 weeks and is the fastest running song in nearly a decade to achieve the position. “Flowers” has streamed four billion times and was the fastest song in history to hit 500 million streams on Spotify. It’s officially the longest running UK #1 single by a female solo artist.

Additionally, “Used To Be Young” arrives just before the 10th anniversary of Miley Cyrus’ 3x Platinum album Bangerz (September). A benchmark album, Bangerz was home to beloved original hits such as “Wrecking Ball,” “We Can’t Stop,” and “Adore You.” In celebration of the anniversary, there will be a limited-edition vinyl with updated packaging featuring never seen before photos and the bonus track “23” with Mike WiLL Made-It. Pre-order here.

P-Pop girl group YARA inks record deal with Sony Music Entertainment, releases debut single “ADDA”

“Sony Music PH and YARA are a match made in heaven. We were surprised that our vision and passion for music are the same. After everything that we’ve gone through, we are very happy that we finally found someone with whom we are confident to work with especially with our music. We know what we want / we know what we're capable of. The song is about YARA. The story of YARA. The song reflects why YARA works hard to strive beyond their limitations and reach for their dreams. YARA wants their audience to know their story, and draw strength from it to conquer their own fears, and learn from YARA’s experiences. YARA wants their listeners to take control of their own lives and dreams. The dynamics of the song radiate confidence and empower our listeners. Unison is also present in the song to highlight that behind showcasing our individual talents, the product of our teamwork sets us apart and makes us who we are. The progression of instrumental placements in the song relates to how our passion (to perform) intensifies throughout our journey amidst the unexpected challenges we’ve encountered along the way.” ~All-women YARA group shares
P-Pop girl group YARA

Sony Music Entertainment, an established record label known for producing some of the biggest names in P-Pop, has added the Filipino quartet YARA to its prestigious roster.

The promising newbie sets out on an excursion with newly discovered freedom — because of the direction of their record name, and their demand to make an imprint in the expanding Philippine music scene.

With the release of their brand-new single "ADDA," which translates to "Apat Dapat, Dapat Apat," YARA makes their debut as a recording artist in a formal capacity. YARA releases a self-assured piece of pop music that doesn't say anything out of the ordinary and possesses merit with a refreshing balance of charisma and edginess.

Their verse begins with a confident declaration. YARA effortlessly navigates a brand-new realm that they have never experienced before, and few newcomers are able to pull off lines that are beaming with delirious energy and excitement.

Combining dance-pop vigor with hip-hop elements and K-Pop feistiness, YARA’s “ADDA” is written and composed by YARA’s very own Kim Natividad, and produced by one of SB19 and Pablo's frequent collaborators, Joshua Nase and Michael “Cursebox” Negapatan (Alex Bruce).

According to YARA, the empowering mood of the material aims to set the tone of what’s to come for their future releases.

YARA is a four-piece girl group composed of Gelou, Rocher, Christa, and Kim. They’re one of the newest P-Pop acts under Sony Music Entertainment, which includes SB19, 4th Impact, and more among its top-prized talents. Listen to their new single “ADDA” here.
