Mondelēz International celebrates Purpose Day 2025 through mindful and sustainable snacking

Mondelēz International commemorated another important Purpose Day in the Philippines. This annual event honors the company's anniversary and unwavering commitment to making a good impact. The organization came together under the 2025 theme "Empower Our Future" to support mindful snacking, community service, and sustainability projects. The company's goal of empowering people to eat properly is consistent with this theme.


CONNECTING WITH PURPOSE. Mondelēz International employees celebrated Purpose Day by taking part in numerous activities that embodied the purpose and mission of the organization.


One of the highlights of this year's celebration was the conclusion of the 4th Walk, Run, Bike, and Workout (WRBW) Challenge, a company-wide fitness program that encouraged everyone to take charge of their health and live intelligently. Over the course of two months, nearly 100 athletes reported more than 12 million steps, 5,600 kilometers of running, 4,400 kilometers of cycling, and approximately 250,000 calories burnt. The friendly competition encouraged coworkers to make time for exercise and form healthier habits while having fun.


PURPOSE IN ACTION. Team members volunteered to take part in a meal kit assembly and packing activity to promote Mindful Snacking for the benefit of the students of South Daang Hari Elementary School.

Purpose Day also developed into an opportunity to give back. Volunteers from the organization donated their time to make and put together meal kits in order to give the young students of South Daang Hari Elementary School in Taguig healthy snacks and food packs. The activity reflected the company's mission and its support for mindful snacking by demonstrating how empowerment begins with helping others and sharing what we know about balanced eating.

In keeping with its objective, the organization also highlighted its strong commitment to sustainability. As part of its #SustainableSnacking objective, Mondelēz International continues to go above and beyond compliance as a 0% waste to landfill facility. This was further emphasized by encouraging coworkers to separate their rubbish on a daily basis in pantries and common areas to guarantee that all waste types are adequately diverted and do not end up as landfill or marine litter.
