The Great British Festival triumphantly returned to Bonifacio Global City (BGC), drawing sizable crowds to the BGC Amphitheatre for a vibrant celebration of British culture, talent, and cuisine. Pru Life UK, the leading life insurance provider in the country, was once again a prominent sponsor of the eagerly anticipated event.
The British Embassy Manila, the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP), and the British Council produced the Great British Festival 2026, which featured a jam-packed schedule of activities, shows, and programs. These featured food and drink, brand booths, raffles, live band performances, pub quizzes, educational talks, and movie screenings about studying and travelling in the UK.
The two-day event brought together leaders, innovators, and members of the diplomatic community, with His Majesty's Ambassador to the Philippines, Sarah Hulton OBE, and BCCP Chairman, Sarah McLeod, leading the inaugural session.
One of the event's major sponsors, Pru Life UK, presented an interactive exhibit that reenacted Prudential's lengthy history. This included a themed photo wall with the well-known Holborn Bars in the backdrop, as well as a feature wall that walked guests through Pru Life UK's history, from its founding in the UK to its momentous 30th anniversary this year. Additionally, each participant received a unique bookmark with their name beautifully calligraphed on it as a remembrance.
The Great British Festival 2026 drew a sizable crowd and once again offered a welcoming setting for presenting British culture and fostering business and cultural ties between the Philippines and the UK.
