More than 2,000 Filipinos participated in Home Credit PH's first fun run, Takbo #ParaSaLife, to promote wellness

“According to the World Health Organization (WHO), almost 38% of Filipinos are physically inactive, putting them at risk for lifestyle-related diseases. As the Filipinos’ trusted ally, not just in financial inclusion but in overall well-being, Home Credit is committed to encouraging communities to embrace a healthier lifestyle. Seeing people of all ages and backgrounds come together for this run is truly inspiring. At Home Credit, we believe that wellness is an essential part of living a fulfilling life. Takbo #ParaSaLife is more than just a race—it’s a movement that we hope will continue beyond today. We look forward to making this an annual tradition to encourage more people to prioritize their health." ~Petr Lukosz, HCPH Chief CRM Officer and 2x Ironman Philippines Champion
Over 2,000 runners participated in Takbo #ParaSaLife, Home Credit Philippines' first-ever fun run held at Parqal in Aseana City. Organized by WeKenRun, the event offered 1K, 3K, 5K, and 10K categories, promoting health and wellness among Filipinos and reinforcing Home Credit's commitment to supporting customers not just financially, but holistically.

Today, more than 2,000 runners participated in the first-ever fun run organized by Takbo #ParaSaLife, Home Credit Philippines (HCPH), marking a step toward a healthier lifestyle.  As the top consumer finance provider in the nation, Home Credit is dedicated to helping Filipinos in all aspects of their lives, including financially, by encouraging their mental and physical health.

Organized in partnership with WeKenRun, a running organization run by famous marathon coach Ken Mendola, the event was held at Parqal in Aseana City and offered 1K, 3K, 5K, and 10K categories, making it suitable for runners of all skill levels.

Lester Cruz, CEO of Singlife Philippines, was among the guests and celebrities who graced the event to support Home Credit's push for healthier lifestyles, in addition to the fun run participants and Home Credit executives and team members.  Boltech and SM staff members participated in the race, as did important event partners Xiaomi, Park Access, and Singlife.

A successful turnout and exciting rewards

A common dedication to health and wellness brought together Home Credit team members, novice runners, and seasoned running enthusiasts at the event.  In addition to finisher medals that will be shipped to them, event partners provided runners with running shirts, race bibs, and loot bags.  A ₱10,000 grand prize for the fastest runner in the 10K distance was among the thrilling cash prizes awarded to podium finishers in the 5K, 3K, and 10K races.

Home Credit and its partners also added exciting prizes, such as Park Access vouchers, Xiaomi smart home devices, and gift certificates for ON Running Shoes and Suunto, to make the event even more rewarding. Additionally, Singlife provided home insurance vouchers to podium finishers, which were ₱7,500, ₱5,000, and ₱2,500 for the male and female top finishers in the 10KM, 5KM, and 3KM sections, respectively.  These rewards are just one of the numerous ways Takbo #ParaSaLife keeps promoting holistic health and elevating each step.

“This was my first time joining a fun run, and I never imagined I could complete the 10K category—but I did! It was such an incredible experience. Thanks to Home Credit, I got to challenge myself and achieve something I never thought possible. This event has inspired me to stay active, set bigger fitness goals, and make running a part of my lifestyle. I hope to join again next year and push myself even further!” ~Joma Unabia, a first-time fun run participant and 10K finisher, shared his excitement about joining Takbo #ParaSaLife

Looking Ahead

Home Credit Philippines is already preparing for the upcoming Takbo #ParaSaLife, promising to make it even bigger, better, and more exciting.

Since almost 40% of Filipinos are still physically inactive, according to WHO data, programs like this are an important reminder that little changes add up to big ones.  Home Credit is dedicated to supporting holistic well-being in addition to financial empowerment, making sure that every Filipino can lead their healthiest, best life—one run at a time.

This event would not have been possible without the support of Home Credit’s valued partners—WeKenRun, Aseana City, Parqal, Sip (Hydration Partner) and Sip Plus (Electrolytes), Singlife, Surge Lifestyle, Suunto, Xiaomi Philippines, Park Access (Official Nike Store Partner), Skintech, Dole, Silka, Corbridge, Oishi—who share the same commitment to promoting health and well-being. Their support helped make Takbo #ParaSaLife a truly memorable and rewarding experience for all participants.

As we have consistently done in recent years, we will continue to empower and uplift lives by delivering innovative financial solutions, staying true to our mission of bringing financial opportunities closer to every Filipino.”  ~Sheila Paul, Chief Marketing Officer of Home Credit Philippines

Leading consumer finance company's successful start to its new decade of operations is highlighted at an award-winning press event.

The top consumer finance company in the nation, Home Credit Philippines (HCPH), won silver in the 60th Anvil Awards this year for its press conference, "Unlocking a New Decade of Credit Opportunities for Filipinos," in the Public Relations Tools Category (Special Events).

The award-winning event, which took place on May 13, 2024, signaled the start of an exciting new chapter for Home Credit as it entered a new decade of operations in the Philippines. This recognition highlights Home Credit's unwavering commitment to providing innovative financial solutions that empower Filipino families.

More than 100 journalists and bloggers attended the award-winning press event, which led to widespread media coverage on print, web, and television channels. These initiatives helped spread the word about Home Credit's 0% interest installment plans, which make expensive goods and necessities more affordable for Filipinos. Additionally, it included displays highlighting Home Credit's reliable partners, such as Silicon Valley, Abenson, Acer, Cellboy, Digimap, Imperial Appliance Plaza, Octagon, Power Mac Center, and Samsung.

Home Credit Philippines' Chief Marketing Officer, Sheila Paul, highlighted how the honor reaffirms the company's dedication to giving Filipino families a better financial future.

The press conference produced exceptional outcomes in terms of media reach, coverage, and cost effectiveness, surpassing expectations with its impressive attendance. It greatly increased HCPH's visibility in a number of industries, highlighting the company's goal of facilitating greater access to financial services for Filipinos all over the country.

The triumph of Home Credit's Summer Campaign was one of the event's most notable tales. Over 1,000 air conditioners were sold every day as a result of the 0% interest financing on cooling appliances, which helped Filipino families cope with the extreme summer heat. The event also highlighted how Home Credit's installment plans helped Filipinos afford high-end products like iPhones. The company made ₱30 billion in sales in 2023 alone, financing 12.5 million mobile phones, with ₱6 billion coming from iPhones.

The occasion also highlighted Home Credit's extensive product line, which includes everything from computers and televisions to e-bikes and medical devices. Home Credit's online platform, Shoppingmall.ph, which offers over 50,000 deals from more than 500 merchant partners nationwide, further improved the customer experience while increasing the company's accessibility and reach.

“This initiative was more than just an event; it was a celebration of Home Credit’s decade-long mission to improve the lives of Filipino families. We are honored to have played a role in crafting a campaign that not only tells Home Credit’s inspiring story but also creates meaningful connections with their customers.” ~Michael Dugenia, Managing Partner at DM&A Co., the marketing communications firm behind the press event

Following their 2023 Silver Anvil victory for the Back-to-School campaign, this Silver Anvil Award is Home Credit and DM&A Co.'s second honor. Their ongoing success serves as an example of a partnership that is results-driven and centered on engaging audiences in a meaningful and innovative way.

The Anvil Awards, which are in their 60th year, are widely acknowledged as the pinnacle of excellence in public relations in the Philippines. The Public Relations Society of the Philippines organizes it every year to recognize campaigns that exhibit exceptional originality and potency. As we now welcome a new year of service, their trust serves as our fuel to grow and their support propels us to continue innovating our financial solutions. A trusted brand ambassador is more than just a face—they are a reflection of the values and integrity that drive one’s brand’s growth. When a respected individual endorses our company, it sends a powerful message to our customers that their trust is valued, and their well-being is a priority. This renewal of the partnership with Marian, who is known for her credibility and longevity in the entertainment industry aligns with Home Credit’s drive for trust and our commitment to being the Filipinos’ financial ally.” ~Sheila Paul, HCPH Chief Marketing Officer

Home Credit Philippines (HCPH), the country’s leading consumer finance company, celebrates its 11th anniversary. This milestone commemorates more than a decade of being the Filipinos' financial ally, delivering accessible and dependable finance services to its consumers.

As it enters a new era of service, HCPH remains committed to offering its clients with financing options. It continues to develop novel financing solutions and credit possibilities to help Filipinos realize their goals and adapt to the changing financial landscape by offering a variety of credit products and value-added services.

In its eleventh year and after serving 11 million customers, HCPH is committed to becoming every Filipino's financial ally, empowering them at every stage of their lives. The organization has diligently extended its sales networks across the country, reaching 75 of 81 provinces to make its solutions available to people in most need.

A Celebration of Milestones and Trust

As HCPH celebrated its 11th year of service, the firm held an event to promote its customers' tiwala for the brand. The event recognized and appreciated HCPH's clients who have trusted the company throughout the years, as well as those who have stayed faithful since its inception in 2013.

On October 25, a presentation at Trinoma's Activity Center honored eleven of the company's loyal clients. These customers have purchased 11 or more products from HCPH. As a mark of thanks, they each received a P20,000 check, got the opportunity to bond with HCPH's brand ambassador Marian Rivera, and were serenaded by guest band Nobita.

A Partnership Built on Trust

Marian Rivera, the Kapuso Primetime Queen, was one of HCPH's guests at its anniversary event, where she not only bonded with the public and HCPH's 11 faithful clients, but also announced her relationship renewal with the firm.

Marian, a brand ambassador for more than a year, has agreed to continue as the face of the country's top consumer financing company for another two years. Her return is more than just another endorsement; it is a bold statement about trust and her steadfast dedication to a business that empowers Filipinos.

A Financial Ally in Times of Need
As the Filipinos' trusted financial ally, and as part of its mission to empowering people at every stage of their lives, HCPH understands its responsibility to support its customers and communities in times of need.

As part of its immediate response to the recent typhoon, which has affected many lives across the country, HCPH announced during the event that it will make a financial contribution to a trusted charity close to Marian's heart, the GMA Kapuso Foundation, to aid in relief efforts for those affected.

“Home Credit is committed to assisting those in need. Apart from our donation, we hope that our products, such as Home Credit Protect, will provide some relief during this difficult time. Whether it’s through home coverage plans or loan flexibility features, we want our customers to know that we are here to support them through every challenge.” ~Zdenek Jankovsky, HCPH Chief Business Development Officer

Home Credit Philippines' Back-to-School Campaign Clinches Silver at 59th Anvil Awards

"We understand the challenges that parents face during the back-to-school season. Our Back-toSchool Campaign aimed to provide not just financial assistance but also peace of mind to mothers who work tirelessly to ensure their children receive a quality education. Winning the Silver Anvil is a testament to the campaign's impact and the recognition of our Public Relations efforts to support families in this crucial aspect of their lives." ~Ken Lerona, Head of PR, Home Credit Philippines

In a celebration of excellence at the 59th Anvil Awards, Home Credit Philippines' innovative "Home Credit is the Key: Back-to-School (BTS) Campaign" secured the prestigious Silver Anvil in the Marketing and Brand Communication subcategory under the Public Relations Programs category.

The awards ceremony, dubbed the 'Oscars of Public Relations' in the Philippines, took place at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Newport City on January 31, drawing representatives from companies and agencies across the country.

Home Credit, a leading consumer finance company, addressed the challenges faced by parents, particularly moms, during the back-to-school season. The campaign aimed to empower mothers as the primary financial decision-makers and budget planners in their families, navigating the rising costs of education and school supplies.

Running from July 1 to September 30, 2023, the "Home Credit is the Key" campaign provided a backup for moms by offering affordable financing options. Home Credit introduced zero-interest payment plans, easing the financial burden on mothers striving to provide their children with the best education. Flexible payment plans were also made available, ensuring that the cost of education could be spread over manageable installments, thus alleviating financial strain.

The campaign also emphasized maintaining peace of mind for mothers by using Home Credit's services, allowing them to preserve their savings as a safety net for emergencies or future investments.

The campaign strategically employed public relations and communication tactics to engage and empower its target audience, specifically mothers and their children. Home Credit Philippines collaborated with its agency-on-record, Dugenia, Marayan and Associates Company (DM&A Co.), to implement this compelling initiative.

A key aspect of the campaign's success was the dissemination of impactful narratives to various media titles, partners, and bloggers. By pitching these powerful stories, the campaign effectively resonated with the intended audience, making their back-to-school shopping experience easier and lighter.

“Working with Home Credit Philippines on this campaign was a rewarding experience. We aimed to not only meet the challenges faced by parents but to exceed expectations in providing practical solutions. The Silver Anvil is a validation of the effectiveness and innovation embedded in our approach.” ~Michael Dugenia, Managing Partner of DM&A Co.

The Anvil Awards, presented by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), received nearly 500 entries from over 100 companies and agencies, including local government units. The 59th Anvil Awards showcased new categories under PR Programs, such as Best Use of Digital, Best Use of Social Media, and Best PR-led Integrated Campaign.

Home Credit Philippines' Back-to-School Campaign stood out among the top entries, securing the Silver Anvil, and reinforcing its commitment to excellence in community support.
