Mega Prime treats moms to a potluck and pamper date with Marian Rivera-Dantes

If there are two things that mothers are closely associated with, it is good food prepared at home and much-needed time off. Joining these two, Super Prime, considering May being notable as Mother's Month, held a Potluck and Spoil Date last Saturday, May 6, to unite fellow mother spirits and appreciate incredible dishes, personal time, and a ton of tomfoolery.

At The Felicidad Mansion in Quezon City, ecstatic mommies brought their very own creations made with Mega Prime products, demonstrating their versatility and quality. They gladly flaunted their dishes with individual participants, trading stories and recipes. They gave it their all because this potluck event was a contest.

Judging the dishes was Mega Prime brand ambassador Marian Rivera-Dantes. From healthy nachos to coffee jelly to creamy carbonara, Marian enjoyed tasting all the home-cooked food. However, there was one that particularly stood out for her—a creamy chicken pot pie, which was the dish that won the grand prize.

Winners of the potluck contest got kitchen essentials from cookware and kitchenware brand Masflex, which were highly appreciated by the guests. 

After the potluck session, Marian and the mommies engaged in insightful, heart-to-heart conversations about the challenges and joys of motherhood. She reassured moms that their hard work is appreciated and reminded them to always find time for themselves.

With this, several moms made sure to retreat to the self-care area to enjoy some pampering time and relax with fellow guests. They were treated with foot and hand massage services to help them unwind and destress. All the guests were also given a self-care and beauty pamper kit provided by 90210 Beauty Lab.

To help Filipino mothers level up their cooking skills, Mega Prime held its first-ever Prime Mom Club: Kitchen Masterclass event last Saturday, May 28 with “Cooking Ina” Chef Hazel and The Pro Chef Gerick Manalo. The Mets Place in Makati was abuzz with excitement as eager moms checked out the colorful mini booths overflowing with everyone’s favorite Mega products. More moms joined the event virtually.

Corn Chowder with Pan-Seared Chicken

Chef Hazel introduced moms to Kusina Speak, a super interesting session that covered the basics of cooking, sauce making, and plating. The segment helped moms understand terms that will make them even better cooks – cooking terms such as searing, pan frying, saute, deep frying, and the like.  This was followed by “Ready, Set, Salang,” where Chef Hazel skillfully applied the cooking terms into an actual dish–Corn Chowder with Pan-Seared Chicken.

Herb & Garlic-Crusted Salmon with Truffle Bechamel Sauce

Adding to the enthusiasm of the audience, Chef Gerick then wowed the moms with more advanced cooking techniques and his cooking demo of a mouth-watering Herb & Garlic-Crusted Salmon with Truffle Bechamel Sauce – a tasty and healthy dish that he then plated to perfection.

For added fun and challenge, the moms were grouped into teams of 10, each team competing with one another for the best replication of Chef Hazel’s and Chef Gerick’s dishes. The chefs, of course, served as the judges. Quality, brand-new kitchenware was awarded to the members of the winning teams.

Also virtually present at the event was Prime Mom Club brand ambassador Marian Rivera who gamely welcomed the moms with some inspirational words that added to the positive vibe of the event.

An advance celebration of Mother’s day to thank all moms for their tireless efforts, Mega Prime and the Prime Mom Club have organized a one-of-a-kind virtual glamping event that allowed moms to relax and bond with fellow moms. The session, entitled All About Mom, pampered moms by giving them some me-time to relax while learning alongside their peers who share their cares and interests. With fun activities that are all about you, mga Mommies! Just before Mother's Day on PRIME KITCHEN CREATIONS, together with their brand ambassador and honorary Prime Mom Club member, Marian Rivera Dantes, Chef ambassador Rosebud Benitez, and our newest Prime Mom Club Ambassador Winner, Mommy Connh Cruz.

Different from the past Prime Mom Club workshops, a virtual glamping session, the perfect relaxation hotspot for our Prime Moms was created. 

As a way to connect with one another while also reminding our moms that it's important to care for themselves, guests were encouraged to interact with all that was in store for them. They had a blast with trivia games and other interactive game booths

Leading the event was the Prime Mom Club’s honorary member and Mega Prime’s brand ambassador, Marian Rivera Dantes, who spoke about the importance of bonding with fellow moms through shared passions such as cooking, which are good for one’s well being especially during this pandemic. 

A learning home tablescape styling hosted by Pinky Tobiano topped off with a cooking segment using Mega Prime Oyster Sauce and Canned Fruits. The online event was attended by members of the Prime Mom Club, Mega Prime’s exclusive club for moms who want to continuously elevate their homemaking skills.

Chef Rosebud Benitez unveiled special recipes using Mega Prime Choices Oyster Sauce. She also whipped up scrumptious desserts using Mega Prime’s Canned Fruits. 

Together with Mommy Connh Cruz, the winner of The Search for the Next Prime Mom, both of them participated in an online cook-off and shared some practical cooking tips and ideas.
