MR.DIY & Carmona, Cavite: 1st Leg Medical and Optical Mission

The first leg of the mission was conducted in Brgy. Bancal, Carmona, Cavite, in collaboration with the City Government of Carmona. The event was held on October 12, 2023. Dr. Ally Gatbonton, representing the City Health Office of Carmona, led the charge.

In total, 450 beneficiaries were attended to, surpassing the initial target of 200 beneficiaries. The breakdown of beneficiaries included 255 in the medical category and 195 in the optical category. These included adults and children who benefited from various services.

Medical services encompassed comprehensive check-ups, lab tests, free medications, X-ray examinations, ECG tests, and even first aid training for local rescue teams and community security volunteers. This comprehensive approach not only addressed existing health concerns but also equipped the local community with essential life-saving skills.

Optical services provided thorough eye check-ups and free reading glasses to those in need.

For optical services, comprehensive eye examinations were conducted to assess visual acuity and detect potential eye problems. Free reading glasses were distributed to those in need, significantly enhancing their vision and quality of life.
