Discover the Magic of Saving as BPI Launches Jumpstart Savings Account with Disney-Themed Pop-Up Event

"Discover the Magic of Saving: BPI Jumpstart," a Disney-themed event hosted by the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) at the Glorietta Activity Center on August 1 and 2, is open to families, young dreamers, and Disney fans.

Parents and children have a rare opportunity to enter a world where learning about saving meets wonder and fun during the two-day event. Specifically intended for families with children ages 7 to 12 (with extended eligibility up to 17), the experience demonstrates how a child's first savings account can inspire lifelong financial habits.

Attendees will have free access to BPI's new savings account, Jumpstart, which combines practical banking features, financial education, and entertaining digital experiences. At the heart of Jumpstart are three financial education tools that make saving fun, engaging and habit-forming:

• A Disney-themed Sleeve that acts as a modern piggy bank, available in multiple designs, featuring Disney Princess heroines, Spider-Man, and Mickey Mouse and Friends.
• A BPI-proprietary Jumpstart Book that teaches savings fundamentals through stories and hands-on activities.
• A kid-led, parent-assisted Jumpstart Web App that gamifies the savings experience. Kids can earn by completing chores or tasks, answer questions that reinforce lessons from the Jumpstart Book, and engage in learning and play. The web app also allows children to track their progress as they build positive money habits.

Inspired by Disney storytelling, the event's theme, "Discover the Magic of Saving: BPI Jumpstart,"  brings Jumpstart to life through interactive, massive installations and captivating activity zones. Families can enter amusing environments inspired by the Disney-themed Jumpstart Sleeve, Jumpstart Book, and Jumpstart Web App. For example, the event will feature designs of popular Disney characters, such as Mickey & Friends, Spider-Man, and Disney princesses.

The pop-up aims to show how budgeting can be a fun family activity. There will be an on-site account opening booth for families who wish to begin their child's savings journey at the event. Additionally, there will be exclusive deals on a few Disney-themed packages when you pay with your BPI Debit Card.
