In Asia Pacific, a child with a cleft condition that affects their ability to eat, speak, and smile is born every three minutes. A backlog of 200,000 children with cleft lip and palate still exists in the Philippines. LISTERINE® teamed with Operation Smile and Watsons to offer full cleft care, including surgery, speech therapy, nutrition programs, hygiene kit distributions, and education for kids and their families, because they believe every child deserves a healthy smile.

By introducing the "Healthy Smiles Start with LISTERINE®" campaign throughout Asia Pacific, LISTERINE® fortifies its collaboration with Watsons and Operation Smile this year. Raising awareness of cleft lip and palate, collecting funds for complete cleft care, and promoting oral health education and nutrition—particularly for children—are the objectives of the program.

Filipinos now find it simpler to make a significant difference with their daily actions thanks to LISTERINE® and Watsons. Every LISTERINE® product purchased at Watsons between April 17 and December 31, 2025 (up to the first 50,000 bottles)* helps to fund speech therapy sessions for kids with cleft lip and palate in collaboration with Operation Smile Philippines, turning everyday dental care into a charitable endeavor. In an effort to raise awareness and encourage others to give, volunteer, or refer cleft patients, LISTERINE® asked Watsons customers to pledge their support in April.

Ramon Solas, an Operation Smile Philippines beneficiary turned employee, sharing his personal life-changing experience and how this fuelled him to pay it forward.


Ramon Solas is a living example of how one act of kindness can transform a person's life and cause a significant chain reaction.  Ramon, who was born with a cleft problem, had to deal with bullying and low self-esteem. Following Operation Smile, which involved life-altering surgery, he felt more confident and even rose to the position of student council officer. He has now fully returned to his previous role as a committed coordinator for Operation Smile Philippines. In addition to giving back, Ramon is sharing the same hope, healing, and second opportunity that changed his own life with each child he assists.


Thousands of children’s lives changed from transformative cleft care from Operation Smile including that of Chutima’s (Paeng), Wang Nianyi’s, Supanat’s (Folksong), and Worapruch’s (Lak).


In addition to Ramon, Operation Smile has changed the lives of hundreds of children around Asia, such as Chutima (Paeng), Worapruch (Lak), Supanat (Folksong), and Wang Nianyi. Accessible cleft care has given these kids and their families healthier smiles, as well as more promising futures full of chances, hope, and confidence. This includes everything from early surgeries and orthodontic treatment to continuing speech therapy and dental care.
