In preparation for the 14th WorldSkills ASEAN Competition, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has taken a risk by establishing a Diamond Partnership Agreement with the AMA Education System (AMAES). The Philippines is thrilled to be hosting the esteemed regional display of technical achievement, which will take place at the World Trade Center in Pasay City from August 21 to 29, 2025.
TESDA Secretary/Director General Jose Francisco "Kiko" B. led the ceremonial signing. Together with Cybershield Training Solutions, Inc. and the NCR-Alliance of TVET Schools Association (NATSA), Benitez and AMAES President Dr. Marie Redina M. Victoria participated in a historic multi-partner agreement. The goal of these partnerships is to provide a top-tier competition that puts the Philippines at the forefront of global competitiveness and skill development.

These initiatives strengthen AMAES's position as a landmark for Filipino skill excellence, both in the lead-up to the event and in its legacy.
Elevating Filipino Talent on a Regional Stage
The most skilled technical-vocational professionals in Southeast Asia come together every two years to compete in the WorldSkills ASEAN Competition, which spans the manufacturing, service, cybersecurity, IT, and creative arts sectors. Notably, participants will be put to the test in the Cyber Security (Skill 54) area with real-world assignments ranging from setting up secure networks to addressing problems quickly under pressure.
Hosting the event is more than just an organizational accomplishment for the Philippines; it is a chance to highlight the quality of its workforce, highlight the effectiveness of its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs, and motivate the upcoming generation of highly qualified professionals.
A Shared Commitment to National Pride
TESDA Secretary Benitez underscored the significance of the collaboration:
