We want every visit to feel exciting and positive, whether they’re discovering their fortune through the McDonald’s App, scoring exclusive deals, or even joining our festive  on-ground activations.” ~Ada Almendras-Lazaro, McDonald’s Philippines’ Chief Marketing Officer

This Year of the Fire Horse, McDonald's Philippines is introducing 12 collectibles featuring recognizable McDonald's characters that are based on the Chinese zodiac. For a brief period, they are offered with the NEW Golden McFloat and come in cute detachable zodiac animal shells.

In the limited-edition McDonald's Zodiac collectibles, Grimace, Hamburglar, and Birdie are reimagined as Chinese zodiac animals. Every animal in the series has a detachable Zodiac animal shell with a different colored gem that may be used alternately.

To commemorate the Year of the Fire Horse, there is an additional golden horse shell among the 13 replaceable zodiac animal shells. Collectors can mix and match cases and characters to reflect their own unique personality.

SB19 SAYS "Atin To?" for McDonald's Chicken McDo

“We’re ecstatic to welcome SB19 to the McDonald’s Philippines family. To have this supergroup join us in showing love for our much bigger, much juicier, much crispier and much sulit Chicken McDo is very exciting. It’s a great collaboration, and we look forward to working with SB19 in delivering more feel-good moments to our customers all over the country. Definitely, there’s much more to look forward to in this campaign.” ~Adi Timbol-Hernandez, McDonald’s Philippines’ Assistant Vice President for Corporate Relations and Impact

More and more Filipinos are enjoying the much malaki, juicier, crispier, and suliter Chicken McDo! Now, P-Pop sensation SB19 has joined the cause, declaring, "Atin 'to!" for the new and improved Chicken McDo, which tastes as good as it looks.

SB19 members Pablo (John Paulo Nase), Ken (Felip Jhon Suson), Stell (Stellvester Ajero), Josh (Josh Cullen Santos), and Justin (Justin De Dios) have been announced as the quick service restaurant's newest endorsers, marking the beginning of an exciting collaboration.

SB19 made history as the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated for a Billboard Music Award in the Top Social Artist category. Today, they follow in the footsteps of the unkaboggable Vice Ganda, who last year helped McDonald's relaunch Chicken McDo to great success. More recently, Kapuso royalty Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes starred in a musical extravaganza, generating even more buzz for Chicken McDo, which also went viral due to its massive, "dinosaur-size" portions.

Days before the announcement, McDonald's Philippines posted a teaser on their social media pages, hinting at a new “Ninang” for their next endorser. Loyal SB19 fans, known as A'tin, guessed it was the upcoming endorsement. Soon after, an exclusive video for A'tin was released, featuring a specially written single showcasing the band's love for Chicken McDo and encouraging their fans to try it and adopt it as their own.

The campaign's centerpiece is McDonald's one-piece Chicken McDo Sulit Busog Meal, which includes rice and a drink for just Php99 in all stores nationwide. SB19 fans will undoubtedly have something to look forward to as their favorite band joins the thousands who have discovered the new and improved Chicken McDo.

McDonald's Launches Wave 3 of "Night Classroom" for Students Nationwide

"In the summer heat, we know how hard it is to concentrate when you’re not comfortable. As McDonald's continues to grow and reach more customers nationwide, we recognize an even bigger responsibility to address the needs of the community, including students who've always frequented our stores -- whether it's for a quick snack or an all-nighter study session. McDonald's Night Classroom is one of the ways we support students and young professionals by providing a safe space that allows them to focus on working for their future." ~Meryl Adiel T. Hernandez, Assistant Vice President Corporate Relations and Impact Golden Arches Development Corporation

Students across the country can rejoice as McDonald's Night Classroom returns, transforming party areas into late-night study hubs where students and teachers can study and complete homework while enjoying exclusive perks and McDonald's favorites via the McDonald's App!

Hernandez explained that the McDonald’s Night Classroom was conceived to meet the challenge of students seeking a good after-school spot review space.

McDonald's Night Classroom Wave 3 is the largest yet, with 107 participating branches throughout the Philippines. From 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. on April 15–May 31, students can enjoy dedicated study areas with wide tables, ample lighting, and gadget charging ports. At the same time, they have free unlimited wi-fi, which allows them to complete their online projects and research. To sweeten the deal, students who register will receive a FREE 16oz Coke McFloat with the purchase of any McDonald's Night Classroom product offer through the McDo App.

Excitement for Wave 3 spread quickly, with students responding to the announcement by tagging their friends, such as Polytechnic University of the Philippines' Kim Esteban, who named two classmates, and Negros Occidental's Sybel Sean Subaldo, who tagged three friends with the call, "Siri ta tuon parasi" (Let's go here!).

Other netizens praised McDonald's for the idea behind the Night Classroom, with Kim Dy of Camarines Sur calling it "genius" and Bulacan's Flerida Grantoza cheering, "Good job!"

“We believe that students are our future, helping build their educational foundation is crucial. When a customer steps into our store, we want them to feel the same warmth and comfort as if they were coming home, and the McDonald’s Night Classroom is an extension of that– here, you can study and focus, you don’t need to worry about anything else.” ~Flerida Grantoza

With the return of McDonald’s Night Classroom, it’s never been easier for students to achieve their #studygoals!

The McDonald’s Night Classroom runs from April 15 to May 31. Interested students and teachers may register for slots by scanning the designated QR code and filling up the online form at their nearest participating branch.
